“I feel as though no GOP or Democrat will risk political suicide and be caught on the wrong side of the health care reform passing. This is a bluff to include a few more tax breaks for the rich before they go quietly in the night and allow President Obama to run this country and get everything back on track.”

“a fellow commentor made a statement below saying the U.S.A needs to lower taxes, deregulate business and so forth. Isn't that the same rhetoric that has California in trouble now. How do you propose the Gov't operate. You see the republicans want this country to resemble some third world countries as far as taxes and wages. This will not entice corporations to build in your state. Most corporations will tell on the surface the first thing they look at is education level. Thats why year after year the state of Virginia is rated the #1 state for business. They have ample land for development and they can tap into the education of upper virgina and washington d.c. to supply workers. Right now there is a 2000 acre supersite for sale 40 miles from Washington D.C. in Virginia on I-85 north just waiting for some company to buy and develop. What other state is even prepared with a supersite.”

“In a biblical text before Jesus was persecuted he waited for someone to intercede on his behalf (to stand up for his life) in a revelation from GOD he knew that was not going to happen he even told Peter you will deny me three times when asked if you knew me. In saying people Jesus died on the cross for your sins and mine. President Obama needs these kind of intercedings in our mainstream lives so he can go about this countries business without worrying about some loon coming after him. This idea of big government is a key work for big brother. We have had big brother for 8 years with the Patriot Act but since it was offered by a white man it is okay. President Obama deserves better and an opportunity to lead this country back to greatness without vast right wing conspiracy working against him.”

“Anyone with common sense knows the bailout money should have been spent on the masses not wall street. In retrospect the banks would have gotten the money anyway by people paying their mortgages or businesses paying off their loans with the increased revenue or some people would have saved it for a rainy day. The banks did not want it that way because that money would have gone to pay off those mortgage backed securities that was sold to every tom dick and cheney. The banks wanted to stiff those institutional investors and they almost did. Now the american worker once again has to bailout his well-to do cousin the banker by working harder making higher quality goods and export all over the world. We will overcome this and be wiser the next go round. We are resourceful and still make some the best products in the world that everyone wants. They are just going to have to pay up to get it.”

“The real reason for the bailouts was that these hedge funds, investment banks sold lies to these powerful nations. These Mortgage Backed Securites were economic viruses to the rest of the world. Once these viruses were brought into these countries it was over. The other nations did not like it one bit that the U.S. allowed these banks and investment guys to sell them lies. They offered one alternative make us whole on our investment or we have a few nuclear haymakers pointed your way to insure this will not happen again you make the choice. Hence forth the bailout plan to ward off world war three. Now we have all the toxic debt back in America and we have to make those investment pools profitable to recoup the bailout money. That is only going to happen if we get jobs and have a second industrial revolution and people are working and goods are being exported.”

“No one said anything when Bush was in the kindergarten class during 9/11. Where was the outrage the indoctrination speak then. This is riduculous. This is an out and out racial attack at OUR president. Did the ruling class not think that in 400 years of oppression that not one person would stand up and be different wanting to lead the country that enslaved them. Come on give me a break.”

“The "ruling" class of yore implemented unjust legislation and promoted separate and unequal policies that kept blacks from having the power of the vote. They knew the Constitution provided too many legal loopholes for blacks to obtain equal citizenship so they tried everything they could do to crush their rights early in the game.

The only thing I can imagine they are afraid of after all these centuries is genetic annihilation. Surely, they dont believe blacks are gonna rise up and have an insurrection after all these years. They are afraid that if blacks are viewed as equal, their white daughters will marry black men and the children will no longer be white. If that happens too many times, "white" will become bi-racial. "White" will cease too exist or become a minority.

What they fear is coming to pass and they cant handle it. They are too ignorant to realize that race doesn't exist and many black Americans carry genetic markers that connect them with the same white folks and are genetically the same except for skin color and hair texture. I guess you cant really be "white" with dark skin and supercurly hair. Not in this country. :)”

“The hog farm was in Ohio and PETA did not say a word. It was done by a gentleman who is in one of the fringe animal activist groups (radical). If animal hoarding is a problem then PETA needs to change its mission and start supporting local animal shelters and animal refuges. Because after a certain time if those animals are not adopted they are euthanized.”

If I saw a hurt animal or a hurt human I would help the animal first without a second thought. Humans have proven themselves to be selfish, greedy, destructive, unethical and in fact inhuman!!! “What President Obama is trying to ascertain is whether or not America can wean itself off of cheap credit provided by China without upsetting the massive holdings China has right now in U.S. Securities. With a true middle class not one created by the bubble and cheap credit then disposable income will come back and economy will recover. Right now tooo many corporations are collapsing because of debt burdens beyond revenue that is able to sustain those levels. These companies will fail and new ones will take there place or more established or financially savvy corporations will take their place. These new corporations will have to operate in lean times and make a product that is a need not a want, export tremendously and create true revenue not accounting tricks. This is what President Obama is pushing for i.e. green technology, new energy companies, a more focused car industry and less frivolous borrowing.”

“There is no need for a second stimulus. Does anyone know how long $787 billion dollars takes to flush through the system. Especially when there are spending limits on some of the money. In my state North Carolina some of the stimulus money has been awarded but cannot be spent until next year when the feds gives it to the state. So this is a slow task to recovery, not a quick patch job. Also, there are signs of recovery my company has started hiring again with 50 jobs coming on board and 100 more next month. Also, several friends have bought homes and got a conventional mortgage fixed rate from Bank of America no subprime. So it is out there just have to be patient and prepare for your time to get back into the game.”

A. Yes. Too long.

Without a direct cash infusion to individuals hundreds of thousands of businesses and millions more lives are going to suffer needlessly. Filtering taxpayer money through layers of government shall fail on two levels:

1. Time.

2. Results.

It would fail on more levels but there aren't any more levels.

Just an objective mind and clear injected into this confusing, complex situation. At this time I pray for him and the family to not allow the creeps to walk away with Michael's legacy and fortune. Yes, their is money there, it is not liquid. His 50% ownership of ATV Publishing is worth over $600 million dollars, probably more now since his music is selling out everywhere. “Vaga the credit default and securitize debt market before the crash was 3 times the size of the Gross Domestic Product of the U.S. So who was going to back up these loans and so forth before the U.S. Government stepped in. Answer (no one). Wrong again Vaga you should have went to college. Most entreprenuers started before big Wall Street or banks will even give them a loan. So they sell enough product to make it and then after sustaining themselves they may go public to cash out for all of the blood, sweat and tears they put into their company. Not anymore its get a loan then sell a product at a high enough price to pay the loan back. America use to be sooo debt averse but now borrowing to make it is easier than actually making it. Every company will collapse under their debt to revenue ratio.”

Leaving the other kids to their own vices. I believe I smell a revolution. Recycling, cleaning up e-waste,making two-ply toilet paper out of recycled cardboard and paper, the burning of trash that we can no longer bury in landfills.
