“Hydrocodone gives some users racing thoughts, not sedation. Taking it before bed, or using it constantly can definitely interfere with falling asleep, and ultimately the quality of that sleep.”

“I recently had a double wisdom tooth extraction where they used Propofol on me. As soon as I sat up I said "That was greaaaaat. ..!" It's a very seductive, restful sleep and it belied the eventual extreme discomfort around the corner. I was out for only 20 minutes. I can't imagine getting that every night. It begs the question given his personal/medical history: When was the last time Mike got to sleep on his own??”

“Dear BibiMimi you are absolutely correct. My guess is that Michael's insomnia was chronic, multifactorial and complicated by environmental, behavioral and medical factors which kept perpetuating it. Insomnia can begin because of a precipitating factor, and then is kept into play by perpetuating factors. Unfortunately the individual often develops all kinds of behaviors, responses and belief systems which go on to keep the insomnia firmly in place and actually makes treatment difficult unless the patient is carefully and thoroughly counseled and begins to understand how the insomnia is being perpetuated. This would be independent of any primary psychological disorder which Michael may have had or indeed any primary addictions which were also in play. I think it would be a mistake to give the impression he would have been successfully treated for his insomnia but I do think he may have had options and expertise which just didn't get the chance to reach him.”

“I too had a minor medical procedure using the "milk". I was out for 1 hour, and when I recovered or woke-up, the first thing I said, "that was the best sleep I've ever had, it felt like 8 hours of sleep without any dreams or drowggines s."
But as good as it was, I had/have no desires to use it as a means of sleeping. So it's back to the vivid dreams, and occassional sleep interruptions.”

“Less than nothing. I kept listening for a theme. A string of sentences that connected to one another, or anything that resembled a reason for her resignation. She was all over the place. If she's not an airhead, she certainly came off like one today. She talked about Alaska, junkets, Trig, soldiers, Gen McArthur, basketball--What was she talking about? Did I miss something? Did she ever say why she is resigning?”
