Palin Suggests Evolution Not Real In "Going Rogue"

Commented Nov 16, 2009 at 23:45:04 in Politics

“It is amazing how such a truly fu@king stupid person could excel so much in this country. We are doomed and we brought it on ourselves.”

BN2112 replied on Nov 16, 2009 at 23:52:23

“Exactly! But it didn't start with Palin. After all we did have a dim-witted ex B-movie actor for president for eight years whose deregulate and borrow and spend policies to line the pockets of the military industrial complex led us to the mess eventually dumped in President Obama's lap.”

“The thing is, it doesn't seem that he is actually trying to set things right with the greed heads on Wall Street. It seems he has been co-opted by the bankers. Having Geitner and Summers in there and letting a year go by without any indictments or real reform doesn't bode well.

So far, O has disappointed when it comes to the banksters. That's a plain fact.”

“Aside from that comment being ridiculous, the important issue isn't that there are rich and poor - there always will be. It's that the rich are too rich and the poor are becoming too poor to get by.

Not a good thing. If you weren't such a knucklehead, you might figure that out.

Also, lots of rich people are given their wealth via inheritances. They didn't earn it through a superior mindset. How do you account for that, oh wise one?”

“Obama's coddling of Wall Street will be his end. If he doesnt get rid of Summers and Geitner and do a big 180, I cant see myself voting for him again. I'm sure I'm not alone in this.

This country needs a viable third party. Too bad the two-party system is so strongly established, and that will never happen.

$2.5 Billion: Year-To-Date Lobbying Sets New Record

Sen. Kyl Not Sure People Die From Lack of Health Insurance

Commented Oct 19, 2009 at 14:05:35 in Politics

“What???!!!! No doctor has ever saved a life? Really?

If you prevent someone from dying via an organ transplant or an emergency operation or through medicine, YOU ARE SAVING A LIFE.

Yes, eventually we all will die, seeing as we are mortal, but postponing death is indeed saving a life.

By your twisted logic and word mincing, are you implying that sick people should not seek medical attention because they will eventually die anyway? What utter nonsense.”

redhead61 replied on Oct 20, 2009 at 07:10:24

“It IS twisted and frankly doesnt make one iota of common sense.”

johnsopinion replied on Oct 19, 2009 at 23:15:04

“You can't prevent someone from dying any more
than you can 'cause' someone to be born.

Organ transplants can prolong a life, postpone
a death, and if it works, it does so with the permission
of the recipient.

Postponing a death is NOT saving a life if that person
wanted to die. And that is something no one will EVER
know if they don't talk to the patient about dying!

"By your twisted logic and word mincing, are you
implying that sick people should not seek medical
attention because they will eventually die anyway?
What utter nonsense."

Your conclusion is a non-sequitur. It is obvious that you
have no empathy for people. 'Sick' people do have a
problem and seeking "attention" is one way to solve
the problem. The person should be listened to and
the problem determined, whether by a medical doctor
or by a family member or by a psychiatrist, someone
should listen!
But, as long as you "believe" in pills and operations
and the medical system then by all means you should
seek it out and accept the rewards it gives you.”

Get informed before you spout nonsense.

And by the way, most of those troubled assets are still on their books, so maybe they need to be "dealing in exotic subprime" - or rather dealing with it to clean up the mess they made instead of going for short-term gains.”

How about we repeal the bush tax cuts for the wealthy, or is that too radical an idea for you?”
