Chuck Norris Says Obama Wants Mary to Abort Jesus

Commented Dec 18, 2009 at 19:17:14 in Comedy

“Look, I'm not trying to be a complete b*tch, but here is the deal:

In the Christian religion, God = the Trinity.

So God = the father, the son, and the Holy Spirit. Now, you can refer to it in any way that you personally choose, but in your first post, you corrected Kelly for using the word "God" when he meant Jesus Christ. He was 100% correct. Don't take my word for it - you're a Lutheran, talk to your pastor.

And for everyone else out there, this clarification is not my statement that the Christian religion is universal or infallible.”

Chuck Norris Says Obama Wants Mary to Abort Jesus

Commented Dec 16, 2009 at 10:23:05 in Comedy

“Yes, that is exactly what he is saying. READ THE POST:

"God - Aka: Our Heavenly Father
Jesus - Savior and Lord; Son of God; Christ the Redeemer...
Holy Ghost - body of Christ after he rose from the tomb"

As in: God is separate from Jesus Christ.

And another thing: It is pretty freaking annoying when you make a post correcting someone on an extremely basic concept in Christian theology, and everyone assumes you're a Bible-thumping extremist.

For the record, I'm not religious, his post was just wrong.

Your post sucks too. What do you mean the Trinitarian concept is "human"? That's kind of a given, isn't it? Or did you think I was mistaking it with a dog's concept of his deity?”

Chuck Norris Says Obama Wants Mary to Abort Jesus

Commented Dec 16, 2009 at 09:27:15 in Comedy

“Hello, are you trying to say that Christians believe "God" and "Jesus" are not the same? God IS the trinity, or all three.”

Soulmentor replied on Dec 20, 2009 at 03:02:40

“Jesus himself never claimed to be God, or even the Son of God. He called himself the Son of Man.....whatever that meant. Jesus as God, and the Trinity are political constructs of the Roman Catholic church, aka THE CHURCH, a man made political institution. That construct is maintained to this day in the interests of power over others. And the gullible who don't know early "christian" history, swallow it whole. Sigh.”

Huminawah replied on Dec 16, 2009 at 11:17:18

“Hello back at you.

I'm simply referring to how my faith (Lutheran) addressed God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.
I'm not claiming this to be anything other than what my religion teaches.
Yes. I believe Jesus is the son of God hence, the Virgin Mary, and the Holy Spirit is Jesus rising from the tomb and "was seated at the right hand of God, our father Almighty". There you have the Trinity. Jesus > Holy Spirit (Jesus' spirit) > meets with God and is addressed as Savior for the first time because he has "saved us" by dying for our sins. Jesus and God are seperate entities to me; Jesus saved me but God can destroy me. You can pray to either but Jesus loves you and God will judge you at his convenience, hopefully before you meet St. Peter,
it would be a bummer to be turned down at the gates ;-)

So there you have it. The original reason for posting a clarification was
because I thought C. Kelly uses God instead of Jesus, but if you change "give birth TO God"
to "give birth FOR God" the sentence makes more sense, and I believe this is
the statement he intended.”

“bkno~

Go on back to sleep. That is not what hum is saying.

And, the concept of the Trinity has been around for far longer than the "Christian" concept of the "trinity" .
The Trinitarian concept is a human concept of how to describe their deity.
It is actually a pre-Christian concept.
"Christianity" is not the only religion!”

Actor Matthew Marsden Hides Right-Wing Political Views

Commented Nov 06, 2009 at 12:01:50 in Politics

“I'm sorry, but I just don't see the point of getting so upset, here, and I am a liberal. So what if he wants to meet with Conservatives? So what if he's not holding a press conference about it? Who cares if he's being "furtive"? Since Marsden doesn't really have any political power (Marsden???) who cares what he spends his free time doing?

For the record, I think conservatives who refuse to see movies with great actors - like Sean Penn or Susan Sarandon, are immature. I can accept the fact that I might have different political views than Marsden or Willis or Voight, and watch their movies without guilt.”

tryanmax replied on Dec 04, 2009 at 17:39:15

“Agreed. I am a conservative, but I'm also a movie-lover. The views of actors, or even the angle of a movie or TV show itself, don't effect my decision on whether to see a movie. (I may take issue with bknott on the perceived greatness of certain actors, however.)

I think Mr. Williams intentionally ignores an important point: Grousing about actors' public political stances has less to do with their affiliations and more to do with the manner in which they are delivered. I think if one objectively examines the most controversial of public political pontifications, one can see they commonly share a certain lack of decorum.”

Trish P replied on Dec 04, 2009 at 13:59:50

“The same could be said of liberals who won't see movies/TV shows, etc., because they are conservative. I have no problem with someone expressing their political views, it is more how and what the say to express this view. Those who are in the entertainment industry have far greater access to get their message out than does the average person. Mind you, the internet is changing that. If an actor/actress is rude or demeaning in there view to the other side or complaining and putting down those they don't agree with while both sides are equally guilty makes it hard to watch the performance without their ugliness showing through instead of the character.”

willgotoo replied on Dec 04, 2009 at 12:35:29

“So what? They've been doing studies of the affects of illegal drugs on people for years. Since guns kill people even better than meth or crack, I think the study sounds like a GREAT idea.”

mike102 replied on Oct 27, 2009 at 04:24:44

“First, I doubt very much that there are more gun homicides than there are people overdosing on drugs.

Secondly, how do you conduct a 'study' of an illegal thing? How many teen-aged gangbangers do you think are going to volunteer that they are carrying an illegal gun?”

OdinsEye replied on Oct 26, 2009 at 15:18:30

“What do you mean by "we own the airwaves"? CNN is owned by Time Warner - AOL, and they can certainly decide which commercials will air.

Media Matters' idea was gimmicky. I think Lou Dobbs is a jerk, and I hope his show gets pulled. However, castigating a network for not airing a commercial that attacks one of their own hosts is extremely tasteless.”

greysells2 replied on Oct 16, 2009 at 18:21:36

“Well, CNN seems to think anything goes, so it is not unfair to pressure them to do something else if enough people want the station to behave differently. Pressure aside, in election time stations are required to air ads they may not agree with. Listeners/watchers know that ads do not reflect the views of the carrier. CNN and their trolls are engaging in the "Big Whine".”
