“"Where is the change we can believe in?"
What do you mean? Do you feel tricked or something? You shouldn't, if you paid attention.
He campaigned on more troops in Afghanistan. He promised to send more troops. Two years ago he said this, and repeated it steadily throughout the campaign. He said it in debates with John McCain. He said it in speeches across the country. Many, many times.
You might disagree with the policy, as I do (though I otherwise support him), but you can't act like he's reneging on promises and use his campaign slogan against him. This was no bait-and-switch----this was a promise kept.”

“The "no-bailout" idea is good, but not good enough.
I hate the money spent on bailing out these soulless leaches. I don't want it to happen again, either.
But my retirement was at AIG. If they had gone under, they'd have dragged lots of people like me (teachers and others) down with them. When they played with risky, unregulated instruments, they were gambling with my money.
I want them to be regulated going forward to protect investors rather than let them sink folks like me while the nation collectively shrugs.”
