Ed Begley Jr. Flips Out On Fox: Climate Change Is Real (VIDEO)

Commented Nov 25, 2009 at 18:16:15 in Green

“This is another example of paid for outrage on behalf of those who pollute our envionrment and those they appoint to speak on their behalf as they deny its devastating effects.

Global Warming is getting our attention through the violent storms and capricious weather that dumps snow in places that have never seen it as well as the warm winters and the melting of the ice caps as well as the carcinogens that are floating in the air and distroying the ozone.

All of this evidence is of no consequence to those who have been paid royally to look the other way and convince the weak minded and un-aware that there is nothing to be concerned about.

We can correct these anti-climate change zealots and clearly show them that they are wrong yet they
continue to cling to the script, what a shame.”

“Don't confuse pollution and real environmental issues with Global warming.

There is too much unknown and this shows that how when anyone disagrees with you, it is OK to shout them down instead of talking about it.

Also the ridiculous notion that there is ONLY ONE possible solution is disgusting, at best.”

“That was very painful to watch. I can't understand why people could heckle grieving in-laws who lost their daughter in-law and unborn grandchild because the mother had no health insurance.

I really don't get it. We have got to fight to get Health Care Reform passed because we can not afford to lose anyone eles to death because they don't have Insurance.”

“It's called willfull ignorance: the teabaggers don't know what else to do but heckle because they clearly have no rational argument to counter a pregnant woman dying from pneumonia, which would have been caught and treated by a doctor if she had regular visits. They claim to be concerned about the unborn, but somehow think they can disregard the health of the mother carrying the child. Then again, no one will ever mistake any of them for rocket scientists.”

Lieberman: 'I Don't Think Anybody Thinks This Bill Will Pass'

Commented Nov 22, 2009 at 14:39:20 in Politics

“Senator Joe Lieberman is doing a political tap dance on the Constitutions as he enables his Republican colleagues to rip it to shreds with their obtructionist behavior as he plays these childish games with the Democratic Party who gave him his seats of authority.

Senators Lieberman is not playing by the rules and he feels em-bolden to carry on this non sense as he is deluded into thinking there will be no consequences to his betrayal.

We have to make sure Senator Lieberman gets the message that he will pay dearly as he will be voted out of office.”

Commented Nov 22, 2009 at 14:28:38 in Politics

“Senator Patrick Kennedy is free to join a church that will not be political with the sacred administration of Holy Communion, withholding it from those who vote their conscience as it deals with grey areas in religious conviction.

Church dipping into the business of the State is a devastating mixture. Lets keep the two seperate and
will will avoid these kinds of problems.”

“AoC All relationships have conditions that either enhance the relationship or make that relationship of none effect.

I can have unconditional love for family and friends and still have bounderies that keep distructive behavior at bay.

The notion that we don't have conditions of respect for the relationships we form with each other and makes no sense.

My relationship with God most definately helps me with my relationships with others.
I have been married to my awesome husband for 33 years and dated him 4 years before we married.

If there is ever a test of uncoditional love it is marriage because if it is going to work you must have unconditonal love for each other and give each other the room to grow and learn from their mistakes as well as the bad habits we all are over-coming.

Enabling behaviors creep into our relationships when conditions of respect is not adhered to.”

I am trying to bridge the gap and with sincerity adding to this discussion. I find that when you all epress your view it is with vitriol and a condemning spirit.

We happen to believe different things and evil people hide in every persuation and religious as well as non religious sect.

Wrong is wrong no matter who does it, just like loving and kind deeds are just as awesome when all of us do them.

There is a great conflict in mans soul and the war rages just as hard with Christians as it does with non Christians.

I pray that we can become better people as a result of this long and on-going discussion about religion and the frauds that hijack relgion and give the rest of us a bad name.

“AoC if what you have discovered outside of God is so great then why do you sound as hateful as the people you are condemning? Being angry at God is not the answer, but loving and respecting your fellow man is and you have done neither.

God has an unconditional love that will blow your mind and the condition of servitude has qualifications.
I am not convinced of your hypothesis because the tone of your rhetoric is divissive.”

AoC replied on Nov 19, 2009 at 11:46:50

IE: condition of servitude

Not very logical Sparky ;)”

AoC replied on Nov 19, 2009 at 10:49:38

“How can I be angry at something I dont believe in Sparky?
What I am angry at is people who do believe and use that belief to cause pain and suffering... more so I am angrier at the sheep who follow blindly and unthinkingly.

People have a right to believe and do as they like as long as it does no harm to others or themselves.”

“Hirnlego we are in the mess we are in because we decided as a Nation we are more wiser than God.

Millions of people are not guided by Christian guidance and we are reaping the harvest.

True Christianity has been eclipst by religious fanatics and people have lost hope because they are blamming God for what man has done.”

Hirnlego replied on Nov 19, 2009 at 09:57:30

“I hope my other post is allowed.

If not. Its not because xtianity is superior to other faiths that the west has flourished. Its mostly because the ideas of the enlightenment, which required a hard struggle against the religious people who along with kings used to have the monopoly on truth.

True christianity is difficult to define since many people make many different interpretations..
A xtian from 500 years ago would not recognize many beliefs of today's xtians.

My own opinion is that if god exists, he/she/it/they/etc didn't exactly do a marvelous job.”

Hirnlego replied on Nov 19, 2009 at 09:51:13

“I don't buy into that. For me christianity is one of many religious fan clubs and it was written long time (not by any deity) ago making many viewpoints outdated.

"The ancient Hebrews believed that this earth was the center of the universe, and that the sun, moon and stars were specks in the sky.

With this the Bible agrees

They thought the earth was flat, with four corners; that the sky, the firmament, was solid as the floor of Jehovah’s house.

The Bible teaches the same.

They imagined that the sun journeyed about the earth, and that by stopping the sun the day could be lengthened.

The Bible agrees with this.

They believed that Adam and Eve were the first man and woman; that they had been created but a few years before, and that they, the Hebrews, were their direct descendants.

This the Bible teaches.

If anything is, or can be, certain, the writers of the Bible were mistaken about creation, astronomy, geology; about the causes of phenomena, the origin of evil and the cause of death.

Now, it must be admitted that if an infinite Being is the author of the Bible, he knew all sciences, all facts, and could not have made a mistake.

If, then, there are mistakes, misconceptions, false theories, ignorant myths and blunders in the Bible, it must have been written by finite beings; that is to say, by ignorant and mistaken men."

Even if you claim to moral without religion you are stll adhearing to biblical principals which admonishes us to love our neighbors as ourselves, and to do uton others as we would have them do to us.
