“"thats why its so offensive to hear over and over how "regular" or "real americans" are part of these teabag parties.
they dont even realize how it sounds.
if those gatherings are "real america",then what do they think of black/hispanic/asian/gay etc...people??
24hourrifle, sadly, I fear you already know the answer to the question you post. The Republican party is devoted to corporate profit, big business and older white voters. Frankly rifle, they don't care much for the rest of us.”

Democrats Now "All In" On Healthcare Reform

“It doesn't really matter what either of us want anymore. Both of our choices are immaterial, since the ball is quite literally square in the Republican Senator's court.
If the Republicans are voting according to the needs of the American public, their decision will be for health insurance reform. If not, they will vote for MORE profit for the already obscenely PROFITABLE -FOR PROFIT - health insurance companies.
They have to show their hand to the citizens of America sooner or later, because they can't hide behind Palin's apron strings forever.
May AMERICA come out the winner!”

“The Republican Senators simply have to make ONE decison; they MUST DECIDE WHO EXACTLY THEIR CONSTITUENCY REALLY IS?
If they plan to serve "WE THE PEOPLE", as we elected them to do, then they must support health care reform.
If they decide instead to support the rights and interests of the health insurance industry, OVER THE BEST INTERESTS OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, then they will cast their vote AGAINST the Senate bill.
The votes on the Senate floor will demonstrate exactly how loyal the Republican party is to its American citizens. Will they sell us out to big business and corporate interests? Only time will tell.
America IS WATCHING!”

“Thank you for your honesty CitizenT. I am weary of fighting for health care reform, yet I can do nothing but continue our fight against AHIPs. I fear for my family NOW, due to the outrageous cost of our current insurance premiums. I am afraid to even imagine the size of our coming 2010 health insurance premium hike.
I am FURIOUS with the Republican party for turning our government into a sideshow, in order for them to make healthcare President Obama's "waterloo".
I have news for the Republican party. This is NOT a dress rehearsal, this is OUR LIVES and OUR LIVELIHOOD they are playing with, and to date, not one Republican member of Congress has taken our nation's health care problem
seriously. We WILL REMEMBER THIS at the polls.
I am incredibly offended at their member's obstruction and complete inaction on this most difficult issue that is facing our nation.
America needs ALL of our Senators working TOGETHER to come up with good, effective solutions for our health care crisis, that help our citizens. We are not interested in continuing THE STATUS QUO, which instead benefits the HEALTH INSURANCE INDUSTRY, at great personal cost to us and our families.
I am dumbfounded that these ELECTED officials REFUSE to look out for the best interests of all AMERICAN citizens, bowing instead to their AHIP corporate masters. And they expect our vote next time? Not a snowball's chance in h_ll of that happening, especially after a few more rate hikes.”

“Palin is a path o log i cal liar.
Tell me, truth and reason, why THAT doesn't bother you, especially given your name here at HuffPo?
How do you as a parent explain Palin's lies to your children?
I simply cannot fathom how you outwardly praise and admire this woman, while presumably disciplining your children for the very behavior we see exhibited by Palin, on a daily basis, i.e. outright lies, race baiting, embellishing the truth, telling tall tales, taking credit for the work of others, etc?
Do you praise and admire your children when they act this way?
I look forward to your response.”

“The mother of five that you admire has had a nanny care for her children for years. She has taught her children to lie by example, cheat when you think it's worth the risk, quit whenever you lose interest in your current job, and above all else, exco riate anyone who gets in your way.
That's the mothering you admire? I must admit I am dumbfounded.”

“The last thing to admire about Palin is her mothering. She made a decision ( a choice) to bring a down syndrome child into the world but unlike the 10% who make this decision made no choice to make the personal sacrificies required to give this child its best chance to develop to its full potential within its limitation. The first five years is a crucial developmental period. Sarah's choice is to drag her infant around as a prop to self promote. Her oldest child was allowed to go into the military to stay out of jail. Her oldest daughter is now a teenage mother who as she herself states in her book Sarah chose to expose to the world despite the ridicule that would be directed at her child. It was a choice that few mothers that I know would have made. They would have put the best interest of their child ahead of self. To date, her knowledge regarding down syndrome falls below the norm - not the norm for parents of a down syndrome child - below the national norm.
Palin is way up there on the poor parenting chart.”
