“Frankly, those around Vick got a lighter sentence because they testified against him,in this case his celebrity worked against him as the prosecution wanted a high profile case.
If America is under the delusion the prosecutors are going around throwing the book at low profile animal abusers they are living in an alternate universe. Vick did not get a slap on the wrist compared to others that commit the same crime,some may feel he deserved more time but that's another issue,being a celebrity definitely hurt him in this case.”
