“Why is the Democratic Party not supporting Dr. Gill with financing and support? Any Republican replaced with a Progressive is a win for the district and the country. I'm so sick and tired of the Democrats not supporting common sense people for Congress and getting behind so called "Centrist". The party is losing it's educated leftist base as Mr. Gibbs spoke recently about. Without Progressives in the Democratic Party, they have no future.”

“Please click on the link in the first sentence of this post and you will see why the party does not support a progressive. Also if you click on my bio you will see another post entitled THE DEM PARTY,DCCC AND DSC NEED MAKE OVERS. They should support new talent and advise and counsel them on running a successful campaign. Also funding their campaigns. But what the party does is support stale incumbents and tepid Dems who can bring in money. I offer suggestions in my post on what the party should be doing. The party role should also be to educate the public, which it does not do. Much work is needed here.
The President is a centrist and not the progressive he hoodwinked the nation into believing he was during his campaign. And his chief of staff Rham Emanuel re-enforces those credentials.
I made a point of getting behind Dr. Gill because he is the kind of progressive we need getting rid of a Tim Johnson in his district.”
“The reason why Medicare for all would work is the money and greed collected by for profit Wall Street bandits would go into a single payer Medicare. I pay for Medicare through withholdings from my check. Just convert the system with a few percentage points higher payroll deduction. I don't trust the private for profit Wall Street insurers, but I would trust Medicare with my health coverage. Instead of paying for wars, lets pay for the health and well being of our citizens. The doctors can get more money for their services with more people paying into the system. I don't think it would be a problem financing the doctors.”
“The administration should have used a single payer model by opening up Medicare. I guess you have to back door the industry because they are so entrenched in the market with PPO's and HMO's. People will go nuts because they wouldn't want to lose their employer based coverage. I will gladly take Medicare before my employer based HMO.”
