“O DID LIE...and so did the Dems who got up there from 2010 on saying over and over that one could keep their plan and doctor. Didn't you pay attention to Sen. Gillibrand (D)...They all knew way back. Sen Ensi spoke on the floor of the senate explaining how the grandfathering factor was NOT going to work.... Read from all sides to get the truth.”

“NO you and everyone knows the insurance companies agreed to keep these plans with the new ACA requirements and then walked away when they sen it would cost them.
That has all come out now and will not help you a bit in the elections and millions of people will have ACA insurance before the election that will not vote for you.”
“I am in NY who implemented ACA in 2011 and did their own website....My premiums have gone from 930 for a good policy to 1860 for the same policy within that time. We are now uninsured due to too high of cost. While NY just added 67,000 new medicaid policies...So who did this work for b/c it was not me???? The ACA roll out is just the tip of the iceberg with problems. Of course we all know about "keeping your doctor and policy" was a complete lie but now you have to check to see if your doctor OR hospital is included in ACA...This is picking and choosing who gets healthcare, who works in it and what facilities will stay around.”
“You assume too much. I have always taken responsibility for myself and my family..
I think you need to reread what I wrote. Cars and houses are choices therefore un-mandated. You can chose to have a car or a house. But you can not chose to breathe. To mandate insurance b/c you breathe is un Constitutional. Leaving one with no choice.
Believe what you want about the rates doubling. I am in NY where the ACA mandates were already in place, done by the state, years ago. As soon as ACA became law, rates have increased to the point of doubling by spring of 2013.”

“You need to shop around, just saw someone on TV saying that they are going to save $5000.00 a year due to the exchange.
Do some work, it may save you $5000.00 a year as well.
Funny, you need to drink water and you have to pay for that water, please explain how they are different?
Funny how many things are mandated that you obviously don't know about.”
“humm, very glad you did not have your health insurance cancelled, YET. H owever many have !!!! Mine went up from 960 to 1830. unaffordable. As far as car insurance, you have a choice to buy a car or not. With ACA there is no choice if you are breathing. Very unAmerican”

“BS, your parents had a choice to have children which resulted in you.
There is nothing in the Constitution says you have to have children, period.
It is called personal responsibility, funny how you care more about protecting your car than your health.
Still, I highly doubt your insurance doubled, but if it did, you can now shop around for cheaper insurance.
That is what I did when buying a house and a car, both have mandated insurance.”
“people are losing their insurance as we speak....check it out. Now what ACA is not ready and is not implemented until 2014.. I guess these people who have been cancelled on will not have insurance”
seiedvard on Oct 21, 2013 at 22:50:16
“What people? If it is not implemented, you can't lose your insurance due to it.
Case in point, I have my own insurance, funny enough, didn't lose it nor did it go up, funny how it works that way.
But I am with you, let's also go after auto and homeowners insurance, that'll show them telling us what to do.”
“According to reports the cause is No sincere proof of the US trying to get their finances in order. That would mean the repubs had something there when they were pushing for fiscal accountability. Right?”
styxxnut on Oct 19, 2013 at 10:26:09
“Not sure what fiscal responsibility you refer to. Bush signed EVERY spending bill put in front of him for the first two years of his presidency. No republican said a word about it. Then a black man was elected president and that's all they have to say. And it's still the republicans that took us from AAA to AA . That is not conservative. That was shear ignorance.”
“In the original article, the family had lost their health insurance, (cancelled) and when they went to their doctor, he was not on the ACA program.
I have my own insurance as well but some are not able to keep theirs due to cancellations by the insurance co”
seiedvard on Oct 20, 2013 at 03:54:43
“Which has nothing to do with the ACA.For people to lose their insurance due to the ACA, the ACA would have to be implemented.
This article reminded me of the We Built This phase of the GOP, turns out it was all built with Government help.
Maybe they should find some people actually affected by the ACA.”
“The point remains that all states could have taken care of this by passing state laws on insurance companies that if they wanted to do business within that state they would have to provide the mandates. No feds required. I am sure more than one state has done that already. will investigate that point”
“I disagree with your "costs were expected to be highter until the dust settles" All the speeches that the pres did said the complete opposite. Question....have you ever seen a insurance premium go down with the same coverage??? My point with the hannity/salon comment was they were BOTH deceiving,”
ltyler01 on Oct 19, 2013 at 12:23:51
“The story was about Hannity outwardly misrepresenting the truth. It was about exposing this character for what he is. I seriously you've researched as you say since I found premiums as low as
I was not commenting on merely premiums, but also deductibles, co-pays, and co-insurance. You have the right to your opinion, which I totally respect, but disagree with. I repeat...no one is being forced to use the exchange program to buy insurance. People can shop for themselves for the best coverage for their money. And many of us feel the Right will intentionally attempt to sabotage any and everything this current administration has tried to do. And these are Patriots? The only real way to lower these costs is to lower the costs of healthcare period...by having Universal coverage, that every industrialized nation on the planet has, except the United States.”
“In NY they already existed....The state voted that in years ago. As well as no caps and kids being covered on their parent's policies. This could have been done state by state. NO need for the feds to get involved at all. Look it up”

“States refused to do this especially in the south even Kentucky needed this more than most, other than Mississippi...”
