I'm hoping when they start working with the house some of the "houses" features will be implemented. Remember they have a public option and stronger bill overall. We've seem to forgot about that in our anger over this watered down garbage from the Senate. So let's see what happens then.”

“He sure didn't, if fact he said would realoquet troops from Iraq to Afghanistan. People heard what they wanted to hear. I want the troops to come home too, and sending more is upsetting to me, however I knew he said he was going to do this, but I still voted for him because he promised health care and to fix the economy, repel DADT. McCain would have escalated both wars, and done nothing about health care, the economy or do anything about DADT (not that it has been worked out yet). So, I picked Obama, and more importantly I listened to what he said when he was running so I don't feel shocked by more troops.”
What Ails Black Women, Part 2: Health and Life

“I'm sick of everything being blamed on weight and not subpar health care. Being overweight is no a DISEASE and I'm sick to death of black women being expected to reach a weight some white guy in a lab coat decided we should weigh. I'm 5'8 175 pounds, I walk everyday and workout with light weights 3 times per week. I eat what humans ate 10,000 years ago and enjoy pretty good health. You know meats, vegetables, fruits, nuts, berries, etc. However, somehow I'm overweight? Seriously? No, I'm a healthy person living a healthy lifestyle. Why do white guys in lab coats get to decide, based on air, what folks should weight? What about bone density? What about genetics? What about wellness being promoted over weight loss? How about real groceries stores in places like Detroit, where they have to buy their food from a dollar store? How about white guys in lab coats listening when a black woman has a complaint about her health? How about that?”

“So all the black women have to do is get skinny obsessed like some white women and everything will be OK, you know because there are no fat white people and white people are the gold standard. No matter than black women have denser bones...ah why bother.
Black ladies just get skinny and everything will be Ok, you might even get back that 3/4 inch the white women have on you.”

Weighing College Students: Discrimination Or Life Saving?

“How about the indicator that what people weigh is none of their business? Again what about smokers? What about drinkers? What about drug users? What about folks with weight problems because of medication? What about underweight folks? What about bone density? For example blacks weight more on average than whites because we have denser bones, and Asians have lighter bones. Plus what's the healthy class going to teach, that low fat is good for students when in fat the low fat diet is most likely causes higher rates of diabetes?
Here's the solution, get out of folks personal business.”

“Absolutely agree. Black people are just more dense. We are more muscular and have thicker bones, which is why very few of us get osteoporosis. That is why we were brought here to work; our physiology. It was determined that we could handle hard labor, because we were sturdy.”

I'm not trying to change you mind about stuff I'm just saying there is just as much lying and conspiracy going on about obesity as their in the republican party. All I would want is folks to do a little more research. Two great places to start is with Gary Taubes book good calories bad calories, or prehaps on youtube undergroun dwellness. Also if you want to check things out from a completely different prospective try katehardin g.net or reading The Obesity Myth. We are being lied to but many about food, diet, and disease and smart folks need to set the fat blaming aside and take a closer look at these. They same why you dig deep into other topics.”

“Part 1
You know I'm all for healthy eating (whatever that is, different people believe different things) and exercise, but I'm sorry, even if you eat the purest diet there is you can and will eventually get sick. Thin people die, thin people have heart attacks, and being a little chubby is not a disease, it's a myth. Plus, it makes it seem as though if you get sick it was your own darn fault and deserve no health care. Some of you are so smart, yet when the fat stick gets whipped out to blame illnesses on the ill you all line up like lemmings. I'm not saying that are no illness that one brings on themselves like lung cancer by people who smoke, even though you can get lung cancer without having been a smoker, I'm saying being above the BMI isn't a death or disease sentence.
Does being overweight cause diabetes (has never been proved) or does diabetes cause obesity? Lets talk about insulin and the affect that has on weight regulation.
Is saturated fat from meat really bad for you? Has it ever been proved? Why low fat milk and cheese? They don't eat low fat cheese and milk in Europe.”

More grain fed vs grass fed??. More hormones and antibiotics in our foods via the animal sources??
Does the full fat in cheese and milk help us absorb Calcium and Vitamin D??”

“We have a lot of malnutrition in this country - among both thin and overweight people.
The focus needs to be on eating unprocessed food, which is healthier for all of us. Doctors also need to become more educated about diet, nutrition and testing methods that can help them identify nutritional imbalances /deficienc ies in their patients. Both of my children have been tested by an alternative doctor and are on supplements that their body was deficient in - or required more of than the RDAs. The difference has been amazing for both of them!”

“I think fat affects different people in different ways. Some can carry a lot of fat with no ill effects, others suffer dearly from the extra weight on the skeleton, and sometimes the fat can press on organs and interfere with their operation, there is the need to feed all the cells in the body, fat cells included. This can, but does not always strain the heart.
I can say that I have no desire whatever to buy a whole bunch of new cloths. And that, and that alone, has kept me thin for my life. I am just too cheap to change size. And worn out is a relative term. If I am going to waste money, it is on food, food I like that won't bite back. I have a lot of diet limitations, hypoglycemia and gluten intolerant, but I have fibromyalgia, which is linked to obesity due to trying to eat oneself awake. Never works.”

“You know, it's not just religion, it's race. When a white person does an act of horror the person who does it is blamed and sometimes dealt with. When someone who isn't white does something it's looked at as that "race" like blacks are all criminal and on welfare or "Muslims" that brown religious people are all terrorist and hate America. If you are white you are seen as an individual. If you are anything else you are seen as a whole or group. Until white Americans can see people who don't look like them, or who don't believe what they believe as individuals blaming groups for the act of one will continue to be the norm in this country.
The fact is this guy probably done this with some twisted religious glory in mind, he was an extremist and should be called a terrorist and murderer. It is what it is, however that shouldn't mean an entire group of Americans should have to wonder how that act of lunacy will affect them. It's ridiculous.”

He was in the attic. Let's talk about health care. Now, about missing blonds I believe the should of course report about those, flash the picture and ask people if they have seen the suspect then move on, if they did that maybe they could get a few reports about black kids, and black woman and others that are also missing that know one seems to care about. They only seem to care if you are missing if you are a young pretty white woman, or a little white boy or little white girl. Everybody else is on their own.”
