“I'm sure someone, somewhere has some of those films.”

“Every so often, fill collections do come to the surface and rare finds are made available. We do have to consider that so many film cans had to be made and shipped to all parts of the the US and the rest of the globe. Many films have been found in old theaters closed for many years. Parts are in bad shape but it is important to salvage what is found because of the various labs that can review, preserve and copy frame by frame and mix and match with other copies of the same film. Lost Horizon is a perfect example - the 1937 Frank Capra classic of Shangri-La. The best and most complete print found was preserved - there were both some sound segments missing and also some film segments missing - so stills were inserted. About 4 years ago a print was found and some of the missing footage was restored. Some of the missing sound was also found. It is very possible that the original theatrical released full version might actually be available again. Some new dialog with actors from today voiced some of the missing parts. I have a version of this great film and hope to eventually get a full Blu-max version of the complete film. Now, for me that is exciting.”
“It was an extremely bad decision to have those dogs around people, let alone children. Dogs, like all animals, are very unpredictable. You can have dogs that are tame around the family and most people but then suddenly, for whatever reason, they don't "take" to someone. Having had two dogs in the family, when guests arrived, especially children, our tame, loving and wonderful dogs were put into another room in the house - with water, food, and occasionally, we'd put on the radio. That beautiful blonde child, Thank God, wasn't hurt.”

“Ah yes, she was "blonde". A distinguishing characteristic, and important to mention.”

“Remember last year when Michelle was reading 'The Night Before Christmas' on TV and Bo jumped into her lap? She never missed a beat and continued to read. Was very cute to watch. These dogs may be a bit unpredictable but they mean no harm. The little girl tripped over the walker when she backed up. I thought the whole incident was handled correctly. This stuff happens. I have a shi tzu who behaves beautifully until she sees a kid and then she is thrilled!”
I heard violin music in my head when I read your post.
No need for such drama.”

“It was a happy, young dog....no malice intended. The little girl was fine......Question....would you have made such a comment if the child was not beautiful and blond?”
NKNK on Dec 5, 2013 at 17:47:59
“Dogs only look unpredictable to the people who do not understand them. A dog's body language tells you everything, just like in humans. Dogs cannot lie with their body language (even humans cannot for the most part) and you simply need to be a knowledgable and keen observer and you will be able to predict your dog's next step even if you've literally never seen how it behaves with strangers. However, many dog owners do not understand dogs - or else Cesar Millan would be out of business and so would countless animal trainers.
I find it amusing that you emphasize that the child was blonde and beautiful. Does that matter for your evaluation of the situation? If the child was dark and not so cute, would you feel differently?”
“Fantastic. That the NRA would oppose a ban on plastic guns which cannot be detected tells us more than we already knew about the NRA. Their opposition to this ban puts each and every person, each and every traveler in danger. Bravo! Let's see if it gets the OK from all of "our" elected folks and clown Obama.”

"While National Rifle Association spokesman Andrew Arulanandam told The Huffington Post that the group doesn't have a problem with the House bill, since it is "simply reauthorizing current law"
And this bill DOES ban all plastic and "undetectable guns.”
“First of all: how many are in this country legally?
Second: Learn the language so that we don't continue to get the wrong orders.
Third: How many of those who will strike are paying taxes?
Fourth and last: What makes them think they do anything that deserves more than they already make? If you go by the mistakes they make, they're all overpaid!”
“Obama has destroyed all healthcare systems in the United States. Once again, I have to say, this is only the beginning of total destruction of medical care, not to mention what a disaster it will do to each of us financially.”

85 percent of US citizens are unaffected one way or the other....how has Obama destroyed my healthcare "systems" if it is completely unaffected?”
alterego55 on Dec 2, 2013 at 12:41:23
“Saying we have the best healthcare system in the world is like owning a Mercedes and a junk yard and calling it an automobile collection. The CIA World Factbook has Key Performance Indicators of most countries in the world. Look up any western developed nation you want and see if the US does better than any of them. If you open up the People and Society section, you'll see KPIs for Maternal Mortality Rate, Infant Mortality Rate, Hospital Beds per Capita, Percent of GDP Paid for Healthcare and *drum roll* Life Expectancy.
When you find a western developed nation that we outperform, let us know which one it is. I have yet to find one. Re,member, every other western developed nation has some form of universal healthcare.
“because the system was so wonderful before Obamacare right? Give it time- as long as more people get heath care- the better- The health care systems you so fondly mention sucked- way too many didn't have insurance while the CEO's were making billions (yeah- that's a B)-”

“I agree with you. However, regarding Jacqueline Kennedy leaving the United States - her husband was slaughtered to death in our nation, the insides of his head went all over her. Five years later, her brother-in-law, President Kennedy's brother, Robert, was slaughtered in the United States. She loved her children until the day she died and would do anything to protect them. Jackie had to get her children out of the country because she was afraid the Kennedys were targets. You'd probably do the same in her position.”

“Top story last night was that Obama and his equally-inept underlings were told six months ago - in April - that there were major problems with the Obamacare Website. Only one point to garner from this: Obama truly is an incompetent who should never have been elected president. Let's hope that we, as a people and as a nation, can recover and undo the damage he's done and continues to do. He's also a blatant liar.”
