Name an agency and the Republicans are preventing vital positions from being filled by putting holds on the nominees. It is unconscionable.

But, where are the Obama administration spokespeople on this issue? They should have been on every talk show slamming DeMint and every other Republican who has put holds on agency appointees. Where are the DNC reps on this issue?

You know darn well the minute something like this would have happened under the Bush Admin. they'd have had an army of people on the talk show circuit blaming the Dems for preventing these positions from being filled.

The Dems and the Obama Admin have to develop a spine and go after the GOP for their sore-loser political gamesmanship on executive appointments. It's beyond ridiculous at this point.”

One person cannot watch it all. The GOP has been blocking most of Obama's appointees in most of the executive agencies. This is just one example of the damage that kind of partisan obstruction creates.

“It's not just a tax....it's forcing citizens to buy insurance from protected government monopolies. If I don't buy it...I pay a fine. After I've paid the fine so many times I could go to jail.

What happens if I cannot afford the premiums they are charging? What happens if I have a pre-existing condition and instead of officially denying me coverage, they just price me out of being able to afford the premium? Which is basically denying me care.

The insurance industry reached a record stock jump on Friday...they know what's in the bill. That tells me it's good for them and bad for us.”

Maybe individual states would but by the time it got to SCOTUS...the judges who are in the pocket of industry (Alito, Scalia, Thomas, Kennedy, Roberts...a 5 to 4 majority) will rule in favor of insurance.”

“I've voted every year since 1988 including every primary. Never missed one, even while I was in college I voted absentee. I am currently a registered Democrat. Next election I'll be changing my registration to either Green or Independent. I'll vote for Dennis and Sherrod. I'll vote for good local people. I fundraised/phone banked/canvassed for Obama. I got into fights with my family over Obama.

But I won't vote for Obama in 2012 and I won't be giving the DNC or Obama a dime.

This bill is a horror for the middle class. It cements a government funded monopoly of an industry that allows people to die so they can make a profit. The medical loss ratio provision will drive premiums the law forces us to purchase through the roof. The employer tax will end up resulting in less employer paid benefits and employers charging employees more for coverage. There are no cost controls and enforcement of any so-called protective provisions are the states' burden. The already cash strapped state governments cannot afford that. So, it won't get done.

So, you go ahead and chuckle now sweetie...you won't be in 2010.”

“The best part about this bill (sarcasm alert) is the 15-20 million in tax breaks for insurance companies in Max Baucus's state. Not only did the government just force tens of millions to buy their crap plans....they gave them a tax break as the cherry to top our ***t sundae.”
