Choosing the Right Cover

Commented Dec 23, 2009 at 15:45:36 in Books

“Of course, it has to be the top right. it obvious.

I'm just now looking for ideas for a memoir called "Camel Jockey Go Home" (.com).

Problem is, its a funny and sad book, by an Iranian blue blood (ex-pat) whose has seen camel in the zoo to be sure...

A publisher said the cover (see cameljockeygohome.com) should hint at the satire.”

“Sitting here with an Iranian friend who just showed this to me. Its flying around the Web. I'm impressed (stunned really) by the bravery of the students.

This is early today (election day) at Sharrif University in Tehran.

Ahmadinejad is forced to climb over the top of his car to escape.

The crowd is yelling Mousavi, Mousavi, Mousavi. Then at the end, they are yelling 'doorogh gou!' LIAR!

Ahmadinejad is the guy in white.”

“That's not Ahmadinejad...look again.”

“This was a great victory that will mean nothing if we don't REDUCE fossil fuel use.

We need more Tim DeChristophers www.bidder70.orgg) willing to risk prison to stop the insanity.

I was talking to Tim yesterday after his press conference. If he isn't charged, he wants to use the $100k raised to help others do civil disobedience and provide legal resources.

If you are thinking about real action, we are organizing through www.PeacefulUprising.org and looking to coordinate with partners and networks with lots of feet on the ground already.

Thanks!”

“While Redford makes great movies and enjoys his millions and celebrity status, he does nothing to reduce our dependence on foreign oil nor does he understand the oil industry. We have 3% of the world's reserves because we do not intelligenly and systematically develop our reserves. When you drill wells you tend to find NEW reserves. The old "we can drill our way out of it crowd" really has no idea whether or not we can becasue we are not allow to try. As for the "hero" Tim what's his face, he should be charged with a felony. I think we need to impose a windfall profits tax on the movie industry for their "excess profits".”

“Yesterday, in a brave act of civil disobedience, Tim Dechristopher threw a Monkey Wrench into one of the Bush Administration's parting shots at environmentalist and the American people.

Please go and thank him here.

"He didn't pour sugar into a bulldozer's gas tank. He didn't spike a tree or set a billboard on fire. But wielding only a bidder's paddle, a University of Utah student just as surely monkey-wrenched a federal oil- and gas-lease sale Friday, ensuring that thousands of acres near two southern Utah national parks won't be opened to drilling anytime soon.
