They even announced that they were going to trounce everything he tried to do, because they were so ticked off that he got elected and the Dems had a majority. Now, ten months later, they've forgotten all of that and started whining again about being victims.

Although it is indeed true that we are now without the moral authority it denounce this in any meaningful way, there are and have been plenty among us on the left who reflexively blame "America" (or white people, Europe, Christianity, males, etc.) for anything ugly, unfair or violent in the world. This is the result of these people taking on "progressive" or "liberal" as a kind of social pose as opposed to others who embrace than certain "progressive" political tenets in a contingent and nuanced way as a result of reasoned deliberation. And this ad, as crude as it is, is not nearly as objectifying as the average calendar at your local auto mechanic's shop, with girls barely dressed straddling cars and tools. Do you think every woman that goes into a mechanic's shop gets her undies in a wad everytime they see those calendars? Hardly.”

She's just as much into it, running down the stairs shouting "I'm coming!" and "I'm ready to blow". Exactly what is sexist about two young people having sex? They went out of their way to use every slang reference to sex to get everyone's goat. Guess what? It worked. And even when they pull it, they're getting free publicity for the "public outcry". Sounds like quite a marketing strategy to me. Because up until I watched that ad (that they didn't have to pay for in order for all of us to see it), I had never heard of a Yaris. Now I have. Mission accomplished.”
