“I have taken theology classes for the majority of my life, if you can quote the bible and don't believe a word of it that's impressive and a little scary.
The idea is denying people who think themselves as perfect because no one can be perfect, except go according to the text.
Also the bible isn't meant to be taken literally it's a bunch of allegories and sayings meant to guide people and help them make ethical decisions.”

“You have no idea what you're saying. Christianity is based on the principle that human beings are flawed -- so flawed that God cannot just allow people in heaven because deep down he knows they're good people. He had to send his son to die for them in order to cover their sins. The Bible verses I quoted are not obscure. They say that human beings are basically wicked. That you can't handle what your own religion says when the Westboro Baptist Church brings it up ain't my problem.”
“No that isn't a core belief........ a core belief is that humans are resigned to Original Sin... that's what I have been taught and I was raised a Catholic... maybe you where not and your parish has a different belief set but don't make blanket statements like that.”

“This is in your Bible. I don't believe a word of it:
Romans 3:10 There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.
Isaiah 64:6 All our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away. ”
“Wow these comments are pretty interesting. I thought we had become more, civilized since we wandered out of our caves but I think it is the same, no matter how you say it people are always gonna act like animals.
Are we really in the right if we send the man to the gallows? Is that justified? I don't know but I do know that the fact that people are practically cheering that he got death threats is a little bizzare to me. I've always thought that it's a tragedy when something like this happens, a time for morning not a time for people to screaming for blood.
In the end my opinion doesn't matter none of ours do. the man will likely be put to death, in the most humane way as possible with no hate or animosity to him just the small prick of a needle. I sort of think hating him and relishing in his death is what he wants, he wants us to take the bait of relishing in his death.”
