A Warrior on a Mission in Rush Limbaugh's Home District
Commented Nov 11, 2009 at 08:34:23 in Politics
“One person cannot reform this congress or this system. Democrats are indistinguishable from Republicans. The country is ruled by corporations. The people have no say in their government. If they did, there would be no debate on a public option. Sixty percent of the American people want a public option, but we won't get it because Democrats are in bed with insurance companies just as much as their Republican adversaries.”

CNN Refuses To Run Health Care Ad Critical Of Insurance Companies
Commented Aug 05, 2009 at 23:20:47 in Media
“CNN and the other cable outlets are all corporate shills. Are you surprised? The free press is in the blogosphere. The new 4th estate is virtual and has been for sometime. I expect that eventually most people will come to realize that cable news and network news are not really the liberal media at all. The liberal media exist only on the web.”
monicaangela replied on Aug 05, 2009 at 23:28:42
“Astute observation, the cable news outlets are nothing more than tabloid video, anyone who can't see that the media is not libereral or owned by liberals, is someone who has bought into the conservative idea of spin and switcheroo in order to confuse the mentally challenged. There is no way Rupert Murdoch would own and allow any media service to function as a liberal outlet.”

Senate Finance Committee Dropping Dem Health Goals: AP
Commented Jul 27, 2009 at 22:26:03 in Politics
“It's really not Obama's fault. It's a systemic fault that's been going more and more haywire over the past thirty plus years. When the history of the United States is written a hundred or two hundred years from now the fact that it became corporately controlled will be noted as its downfall. Today's Republican and Democratic parties do not represent the American people. With the exception of Dennis Kucinich and Bernie Sanders we have no popular representation.
Remember it was these same slugs who voted for the Iraq War and now want to blame Bush and the Intelligence Community. They knew then that Saddam had no weapons but it was a boondoggle to make corporations billions of dollars. They know now what is the correct solution, but they are doing the bidding of their corporate masters. We have no liberals left and Obama can do nothing.”

Coastalthinker2 replied on Jul 27, 2009 at 22:36:47
“I agree with most of what you say. However, I feel President Obama has been a part of the problem instead of the solution. A real leader "for the people" would have actively stepped in to HELP people by taking a stand on issues. He TALKS about issues in public, then doesn't fight hard for it. President Obama didn't fight for better legislation in the Credit Card Reform bill or the Bankruptcy bill. Now, in his need to be bipartisan (which is beginning to feel like an excuse not to get true reform of anything), we will once again see corporations win at the expense of the people in this country. I think the final Energy bill will also have the fingerprints of the Coal and Gas Industries along with Goldman Sachs and others instead of representing "we the people".”

Maria Belen Chapur: New Photos Of Sanford's Mistress
Commented Jul 16, 2009 at 10:21:39 in Politics
“How about leaving this woman out of it? Why demonize her or even him? Adultery has been going on since the beginning of time. The real issue here is hypocrisy and the on-going effort by mostly Republican politicians to divide/divert Americans from the real issues facing our country. The Sanford, Ensign, Spitzer, Clinton, Craig scandals only prove that we are all human. We need to accept that humanness and move on. Christ is reported to have said, "He who is without sin, let him cast the first stone." Who can make that claim?”

That and the fact that he lied about it to the public. And I don't have to accept his "humanness" when he feels he can attack other people for what he did - he cast the first stone, in other words.”
