“It should be deemed a frivilous lawsuit. If a Republican leaning company had done the same to a similar mom-and-pa ,MoveOn would be all over it. This is just Joe the Plumber in the inverse; an opportunitunistic publicity tactic for albeit a worthy cause, but done wrong.”

“How rude of you, scorpioleidy, and those others of you who reply with such ignorant language on any of these posts. Are you sure you're really democrats? I get that you're angry-- but must you be foul? Perhaps you could educate yourself to air your disagreement with someone in a more effectively concerned manner?
As for the question of women, appearances-- walmat or norstroms or saks 5th... It would be interesting to find out what Hillary paid for her outfits, hairdo, consultations etc as a comparison. Hillary looked great and semed reasonable in her choices. If she had to spend comparable money that would put the cost in perspective either way.”

“I'm with RButler on this. As grating as Palin is, the comment wasn't tageted as the typical Republican deragaotory idiotism-- just the regular partisan rhetoric. Interestingly, when McCain "suspended" his campaign for 2 seconds so he could single-handedly perform his "patriotic" duties and save the Wall St mess, one wonders if he thought the media should somehow have been in reverent suspended awe.”

“These hackers ARE slimy. They're as criminal as the Watergate crowd was. Palin should not be using Yahoo for government business and O'Reilly has his own issues with transparancy along with moral narrow-mindedness. BUT hacking into e-mail is an example of perpetraiting a wrong in order to bring to light bad practices.
Wanna have those guys hack into your e-mails without a court order? What's next, having citizen journalists maintaining they have the right to peek into public people's bedroom windows? Oh yeah, we have them already-- paparazi.”

“and her husband is a union member. She is undoubtedly a strong, hard working, multi-skilled person. She will attract many small town middle class for her comination of experiences.
Her speech was an excellent introduction. Her only flaw is her high-pitched scrachy voice.
Obama and Biden need to continue the play book that was started with McCain-- "great guy, but here are his problems" Give her credit where due--BUT She is NRA, anti-choice, does not have a strong environmental record-- and neither her education or history has any intenational experience, except perhaps with import/export for Alaska.”

Internet Providers Threatening Monthly Limits On Online Activity

“Excellent article juxtaposing the questions of what is a "finite" technical resource with the interpretation of defining future capabilities. As "Fillou" commented below, the ramifications and greed of corporations always brings the added degree of distrust, as well. A careful tip-toeing feud between ISPs and content providers, just as monetization and privacy issues are being sorted out for ad revenues, at the least has all of the issues on the table. Like going green, understanding the difference between the chaff and the fruit of fair play and / or fair pay for shared access, and agreeing on what is and isn't a limited resource, depends upon all players cooperating for what is at stake. Just saying "I want my freedom" doesn't cut it.”
