“Having a vehicle is a choice, no matter where you live, and you have a large choice of insurance companies from which to choose, unlike health insurance companies. For-profit insurance companies DO NOT belong in our health care system. It's time for medicare for all. It's the morally right thing to do, and these lawmakes know it, but they aren't really running the show.”

“The dates at which a bill will take effect is enough of an incentive for the insurance companies to take advantage and rake it in just like the credit card companies are doing. Then, even after the bill kicks in, it still mostly caters to the insurance companies, especially with the mandate. It is shameful!”

“There has been an amendment that will take care of the "until the bill kicks in rate hike problem", that has been voted on and passed. This amendment would not allow insurance companies to raise their present rates beyond normal inflation cost.”

Not before it does some real damage to people like me. I don't want to have to pay much higher premiums because I have a pre-exisitng condition, or because I'm older. What if I can't pay those premiums? If I give up my insurance, I'll be fined. This bill, as it stands, is a horrible bill full of loopholes and perks for the insurance industry, and of very little benefit to me or anybody else. It is NOT better than nothing. Right now, I have really good insurance that could get really screwed up if this bill passes. I hate anything done half-a$$ed, and this bill is really done half-a$$ed. All because of GREED!”
