“I'm a teacher at a private school and a wedding videographer with a wife and two baby boys. The school has frozen our pay for next year (no increase which is what, as a teacher, you count on) and the wedding business has slowed to a snails pace. We don't have enough money to live and my parents are financially helping us now.

In the meantime I've started looking for another teaching job but the market for English teachers in St. Louis is flooded. Rock and a hard place here.”

The Internet and the Death of Rovian Politics

Commented Oct 20, 2008 at 23:41:56 in Politics

“With this war and this economy and this current president's legacy, Obama should be up another 10 points. It should be a landslide. But it's not. The power of Rovian fires lives on and will find a place on the internet too.”

berkawoo replied on Oct 21, 2008 at 00:39:37

“I agree that Rovian/Lee Atwater tactics live on. These Neocon Fox News Limbuagh AM radio thugs have a great deal of power and wealth. The rage, fear and ignorance that they will incite on their
broadcasts will be relentless. If Obama wins and a major gain of democrats in the house and senate results in a major shift in congressional power the RAGE from the right wing media outlets will be shocking. The lock they have on AM radio can find it's way on the internet. These Neocons are serious operatives. The ideology of the PNAC, the Heritage Foundation and other conservative think tanks still have a great deal of wealth and power. They don't care about the middle class and working class they only care about the 5% who hold power and wealth. They will stop at nothing to hold onto power.”
