I did AI as an undergraduate at MIT. I did intelligent control in High school. It's just not true. I have worked with great PhDs, and Even greater high school graduates. Really. The HS folks can't "rest on their Laurels" and the good ones never stop learning. Lazy PhDs haven't learned anything since college, and erroneously think their knowledge is still current. They tend to make mistakes by not listening to others as well. iRobot is a great example of what's wrong with PhDs. The iRobot vacuums are permanently destroyed by strong magnets.”

The holding of the homeless (whom they also receive tax dollars for providing) hostage is just shocking and deplorable.
I understand that it is the biggest and possibly the last obstacle for the church to overcome in order to be a truly inclusive institution.
If not, then this will remain as a huge scar to them. And eventually this prejudice can be brought to court not only by the Constitution, but where it may hurt the most; the tax exemption policy.
If all else fails the gay community may want to form their own inclusive religion.”

“Again, how about religion? Do gods have physical evidence? All we have are "personal stories" from hundreds and thousands of years ago to tell us that gods even spoke to us, or cared about our existence, and yet people are willing to die every day for those personal stories with no physical evidence.
How can you have faith to believe in gods and be totally dismissive of ghosts?
There certainly cant be a "Holy Ghost" without their being ghosts, can there?
Maybe you just dont believe in the unseen at all, and thats ok, but you really cant put stock in one and be totally dismissive of the other.”

Except: How do you find physical evidence of something that is not physical?
A thought can be considered physical if you really stretch the meaning as at least electrically it did exist for an instant and electrons are physical objects.
I say only for purpose of discussion: What if "ghosts" are collections of photons--things that act like things but cannot exist physically--images; reflections--non physical from without that evoke physical within?”

“The life insurance thing isn't because they want to profit off of death out of sheer malevolence. It's because of the psycho-crazy way that the tax code treats life insurance. It is (I kid you not) TAX FREE. Basically, these policies are a tax-free investment vehicle. I don't think the crime is that they're taking out life insurance policies on people, even though the idea of profiting from death is fairly grisly. Not to mention your employers having a good reason to hope that you die before your time. But no, the real sick thing is that they're dodging taxes because of a completely stupid loophole in the tax code. If the tax code gets reformed so they have to pay taxes on these policies, they'll stop doing it.
As for pilots, isn't the problem based on how they are only flying some of the time? A friend of mine roomed with a pilot, and he'd be totally gone for a few weeks, and then he'd be sitting at home with nothing to do for a few weeks. With airlines suffering so much, it's easy to see how pilots could get too little flight time, and thus not much money. How do we fix it though? The airlines are suffering because they treat people like dirt, and I don't see how we could make them stop, short of a government takeover of airlines...”
