“Hmm....Looks like this guy is the scapegoat. When are gonna get the ELEPHANT?

Youtube has tons of copyrighted videos uploaded without owner's permission. Even the user generated ones have tons of subtle copyright violations - like imitating a scene, singing a song, using dialogues from popular movie etc. Not just Hollywood, there are countless copyright protected foreign videos (like Chinese, Korean & Indian film Industries) shared without their permission.

Youtube only blocks the contents of Big, rich copyright corporations like Sony, Columbia etc...not ALL.

Is the Youtube president going to be arrested like this guy? Probably not.”

doctorzap on Feb 27, 2012 at 12:23:55

“The Elephant gets got come November. But you're right. This does sound like a case of scapegoating because this guy came up with a way to game the system. It sure doesn't sound like the users of his site are bringing him down, just those who are jealous of his business model.

As soon as they put him away, they'll take his ideas and try to cash in on them. That's how big biz works, isn't it?”

“As a programmer, Although I appreciate her achievement, programming is hardly a field that will inspire other women. It is very common in India for a company to have more that 30% women as programming staff. In US, the number is less than 10%. Young, good looking ones - BIG ZERO%. The few american girl interns hired by my company requested a change of department or quit. Working for a company like facbook help you make BIG dough but still programming in general is a BIG turn off for US women.”

Consumer electronics and Operating systems are taking the same road.”

“This guy is not lazy! He just made a basic novice mistake. He just assumed the food that look like vegetarian are vegetarian. It takes painful experiences to learn that even food that look vegetarian (like salad/soup) can contain meat. Food chains have started using catchy words like "veggie" more and more to tell their meat-loving customers that the dish also contains vegetables (apart from meat). May be their motive is to make their meat-loving customer feel less guilty (at the expense of innocent vegetarians). It is us vegetarians (minorities) who have to be careful.”

“US has no right to complain about Mexico and its drug control problem when it can't even accomplish a menial task of getting its gun runners(dealers) to report bulk sales. It just shows how weak US's commitment is to drug control problem. May be in reality US never wants their drug supply cut off from Mexico. They just want to boost the gun economy in SOUTH. Typical two-face strategy by US.

I bet NRA supports increasing the aid to Mexican govt to step up their fight against drugs, just so the Mexican drug lords will flush their cash on buying guns from US gun dealers.”

“You obviously never hear of Operation Fast and Furious. It was a recent BATF operation that told dealers not! to report the sales of thousands of guns to people at the border. Their original intent was to use those gun sales to lie and say those guns went to Mexico Illegaly. Another attempt to kill the second amendment.”
