“Yep, you do have a "skewed" view. I've reached the point that ANYTHING I read on HuffPo I know comes from Obama's talking points.”
Skewed View on Oct 20, 2013 at 00:03:18
“If you view other American citizens as not being 'real Americans' because they don't share your views, then you are by definition Anti-American. Thus, your comment is quite amusingly ironic, as it seems to be promoting that 'skewed', not to mention socially dysfunctional & dangerous, view.
And by the way, I have never voted for Obama, nor do I support most of what he has chosen to do, and not do, with his administration. He's Bush III, and only better than McCain & Romney like losing a leg is better than losing your head.”
“Can't imagine what HuffPo would know about "real" Americans...Mr Cruz sure has my admiration though.”

“For what? 24 Billion Dollars it cost for the Govt. Shut down and he got what for it? Income Verification...yay...”
UnePetiteParisienne on Oct 18, 2013 at 06:06:39
“What's a "real" American I wonder ?
(and no, as my name indicates I am not American at all, "real" or otherwise).
From an outside perspective,I get the strong feeling that your vision of the "real" American is WASP and living in rural America, preferably in the Bible Belt (not to mention angry at the perspective of soon becoming a de facto minority....).
I think the "real" American you are refferring to, much like Ted Cruz, are also probably suffering from the Dunning-Kruger syndrome (which is "a cognitive bias in which unskilled individuals suffer from illusory superiority, mistakenly rating their ability much higher than average. This bias is attributed to a metacognitive inability of the unskilled to recognize their mistakes").”
“Exactly...."Me" generation? Hopefully this is the worst thing you'll ever have to face in your life, Princess!”
Natasha Coughlin on Oct 7, 2013 at 21:26:56
“I don't think it either kind nor wise to judge someone you have never met. I am the bride in the news story, and since you seem to think I'm a "princess" I thought I should let you know that this was nowhere near the worst thing I've ever faced in life. This was a minor snag that we ran into and solved while planning our wedding. We do not AT ALL place a wedding above the rights or needs of any other person on this planet and realize that this is a privilege granted to us that is, in the grand scheme of things... insignificant. Clearly the media contacted us and thought this would make a great story. If you think it is ridiculous or sensationalized then take it up with the news outlet.”
That would be why Red Cross doesn't get my money.”
FloB on Jul 12, 2013 at 10:47:55
“So you would prefer that the victim of a house fire be left standing outside at mid night in their pajamas to wait for the insurance office to open in the morning to get a check and start rebuilding? Sure there are people who misuse what they are given but at least the Red Cross treats everyone the same. The generational welfare folks of course, request extras, that is their life style, but Red Cross does not discriminate against those who made the choice to spend their money on insurance rather than latest electronics and drugs. Those who generally manage their money wisely, will use it as intended, to provide food clothing and shelter while repairing their damage. Those who usually make poor choices will purchase the Chanel perfume and designer purses, as the publicized Katrina victims did. It doesn't matter, there are national guidelines as to the amount each is to receive based on the disaster incurred. People who receive assistance who later wish to help others, as well as people in the community who wish to help disaster victims should donate to their local Red Cross Chapter or a national effort. Red Cross survives entirely on the contributions of the public and uses every earmarked dollar on its designated purpose, not one penny of your confiscated tax dollars is funneled to the Red Cross.”
“Don't you think that you should be able to decide to kill your baby in the first 20 weeks? Have you seen what that baby looks like at 20 weeks? I have. I held him in my arms when he was born WAY TOO EARLY. PERFECTLY FORMED! What is SO important that you can't make that decision before 20 weeks. She was disrespectful.”
Nardwilly on Jul 11, 2013 at 15:50:40
“This law is more than 20 weeks. It requires other things having nothing to do with timing. The Supreme Court set the timing, two of three trimesters. 20 weeks is during the second trimesters. Just because you belive you hvae no deecision to make, does not give you and the state of Texas the knowledge to know how long someone needs.”
“Quote which polls you are talking about for all those YEARS. I never get my news from just one source but television news is about the LAST source I'd go to. Your comment shows a real bias so I could care less where you get your news...I'd guess the MSM.”
“Don't be too confident. A majority of the country isn't real thrilled with the immigration bill but dream on bible”
DroppingKnowledge on Jun 28, 2013 at 16:08:08
“Yeah, but the reasons for not liking the bill vary. Some hate it because of the pathway to citizenship parts, some because there's no trigger to curtail the flow of illegal immigration, others don't like it because it does not require an annual reauthorization by Congress, others because they feel building a bridge and additional troops including drones is excessive, some because it doubles the number of work visas for specialized jobs (ie. Engineering & IT), etc...
It may very well lead to the Bible Rocks' assessment or the reverse may be true. No one knows for sure.”
“BS. there was NO DOUBT it would go through the Senate. These oppressed people should have come into the country legally and went through the process like other immigrants. You are right, it won't be done, nor should it be.”
“This lady probably has all the money she needs. What's unfortunate is the people who worked for her company, the companies that make her products. I'm thinking that Paula should have been Trayvon Martin and then her racial comments would be OK.”
Sunny Bunny on Jun 28, 2013 at 14:56:39
“ddevore, you have made a good point. Paula is not the only one who will suffer from this. I am sure she has a huge staff to conduct all of her dealings. There is no way she will be able to keep the staff she has. Some people are going to lose their jobs over this. And, I also agree with another comment you made, and that is it should be equally wrong for people of any race to say hurtful things about another. You can't pick and choice who is allowed and who isn't.”
Suzanne Waters on Jun 28, 2013 at 14:43:52
“Well, now all her employees will be unemployed. How sad....”
“No he wasn't a foul jerk, you might have him confused with his character. Perhaps next time you make such a tasteless comment, you should actually know what you are talking about. Get out of mom's basement and experience what is really going on.”
Jun 20, 2013 at 07:14:41
“Until black people quit using that word, who cares if Paula uses it? Either live your life with consistency or don't be offended. Personally, I think it's a disgusting word and I don't want to hear it coming out of ANYONE's mouth. Because she's white doesn't make the word worse.”
Ivan B Cohen on Jun 20, 2013 at 08:08:05
“The NAACP a few years ago held a mock funeral for "that word." A whole lot of good the ceremony did. Like human beings who lose loved ones, "that word" has survivors.”
Befree16195 on Jun 20, 2013 at 07:53:31
“You do know it was a white woman who is suing her and told she was using racial epithet WORK. So you think black people should be called the n-word any place in America by a white person because some black people use it? So I have call all 40 million black people and have a cook out to stop them from saying the N-word, so Paula seen doesn't say it? Do you have a good long distance plan because I have 40 million people to call.
Nettrice on Jun 20, 2013 at 07:52:52
“It's not just he n-word. Deen invoked JIM CROW.”
missdboat on Jun 20, 2013 at 07:50:57
“I agree and I think this is completely overblown. How many people could honestly answer no when asked if they had EVER used that word?”
“I'm thinking that a law won't stop children from learning about creationism. Children's first teachers are their parents and I'm not sure that the government can stop parents from teaching their children the truth, at least not yet.”
