Networks Still Hosting Military Analysts Without Identifying Massive Conflicts Of Interest

“Since VietNam, I have had strong suspicions about the honor and integrity of our military dating back to 1957 when Ike sent military advisors to S. Nam. It was almost ten years of internecine fighting when the leader of American forces in Nam proclaimed "We are just beginning to see the loght at the end of the tunnel". Never have I witnessed and felt the shame of the last days of our stay in Nam. Today we are heeding and obeying the advice of a General who Awarded a Silver Star to a football hero for being shot by friendly fire after he most assuredly had known that fact. It is reminescent of the captured W Virginia girl being portrayed as Rambos. Mind you I greatly respect the girl from W Virginia and Spenser for serving their country, but I have no respect for supposed "officers and gentlemen" creating scenarios that are best left to Hollywood.”

“And remember Cheneyites and Bushites tried to brand as traitors those that opposed the Iraq invasion. It was Cheney/Bush who opposed the filming of caskets returning from the battlefield. It was Rumsfeldt who made the most assinine statement to come out of any war. "When you go to a" (preemptive, word added), war, you go with the troops you got, not the ones you want'. Perhaps someone ought to explain to such a wordsmith as Rumsfeldt what "PREEMPTIVE" means. It means you choose the time, the place, the troops, the objectives, and the equipment necessary to fight that "PREEMPTIVE" war.”
Defense Department Opposed Franken's Anti-Rape Amendment

“We can thank the "Muckrakers". I might suggest that each of those 30 Republicans that supported suppressing rape charges be sent a copy of John Spargo's book, "The Bitter Cry of Children" to remind them what captains of industry thought and how they treated their employees. Or as initeresting read about the Pullman strrike in the 1870's.”

“What is the difference? In my very rural area they are frequently referred to as "a couple of jerks who care little about middle income Americans". And care greatly about the Haliburtons, KBG, XE (Blackwater) and a number of corporations who have repeatedly stolen money from American taxpayers to the detriment, not only of civilian Americans but also of endangering and being responsible for the deaths and wellbeing of our military.”

“One wonders what use Bush/Cheney made of wire taps, overt tailing of political opponents. A case in point, when Jay Rockefeller was ranking member of the Senate Intel Committee, he constantly railed against Chairman Robertson for not carrying out Part5 II of the 9/11 investigation. Part II was to investigate the use made of obviously false data to further inflame of us for the war against Iraq. Yet, now, railer Rockefeller, Chairman of the Senate Intel Committee has done nothing to bring on that investigation. One wonders what the Bushites may have on Jay to prevent him from carrying out Part II?”

“"Reading all the reports", unequivocal assertions such as, "Saddam's goons WERE linked to al Qaeda." are no more truthful than Cheney's and his daughter's backtracking of taped evidence of the very words that bespoke the lie. Limbaugh Uses North Dakota Flooding To Crack "Dike" Jokes [UPDATED]

“Remember the new Limbaugh, touting his diet and exercise regime to slim down. This man? has never kept a commitment in his life. His tales of being middleclass falls in the face of his father being a judge. In small town USA a judge was never considered middleclass. His dedication to losing weight and keeping trim is as fortright as the venom he spouts.”

That is the exact same thing the last administration did and they got trounced at election time.”
Key Senate panel backs Obama's budget blueprint

“Another example of Republican bipartisan support. Democrats ought to afford Republicans the same courtesies Democrats received when Republicans controlled all 3 branches of government. The Republicans like to dish it out but whine like curs when the same treatment is afforded them. What was the Republican sayings? "You lost". "Get over it". I really do love using Republican hypocrisy that they created against Republicans.”

Obama Protest: Bishop Boycotting Notre Dame Graduation Over President's Stem Cell, Abortion Views

Fox News Ratings "Crazy High" During Obama Administration, #2 Channel In All Of Cable
Commented Mar 25, 2009 at 06:32:41 in Media
“IT MIGHT BE WORTHWHILE TO NOTE there are tens of thousands of viewers who watch Fox for what Fox wouls consider nefarious reasons. A few people at our morning coffee discussions say they watch Fox to see how high up their derriere the skirts of the good looking females show. Others, perhaps older and more pensive, state they watch Fox to find what side of an issue they are on. "If Fox is for it, they are against it and vice-versa". So ratings are like smoke in the air. They are there than they are gone.”

Obama "60 Minutes" Interview: Affirms Support For Geithner, Hits Back At Cheney
Commented Mar 22, 2009 at 07:56:12 in Politics
“Which battle fields? The ones in Afghanistan or the ones in Iraq? Every alibi the Bush administration gave for preemptively attacking Iraq has been proven to be false. There were few AQ in Iraq. Saddam viewed them as a danger to his rule. There was no meeting in Europe between Iraq and AQ. Bush did not let the Un inspectors complete their job in Iraq. He was constantly told by the inspectors to be patient, they still had not found a nuke or wmd program. There were no mobile wmd labs. Ridding the world of Iraq has gotten us exactly what? If you think there is a form of democracy in Iraq then you believe the stopping of the 2000 recount in Florida was a democratic act. Operation Iraqi Freedom is a pig in a poke. When Iraq rids us of our influence in Iraq with the devastation and killing that happened there because of our invasion, AQ need not put up any "We want you" signs for new enrollees. They will be there in abundance due to the brilliant leadership shown by Bush/Cheney not only in war but also the havoc they created on the domestic scene.”
Eliot Spitzer Tells Fareed Zakaria: AIG Has Bigger Problems (VIDEO)
Commented Mar 20, 2009 at 07:30:05 in Politics
“I really didn't care about Clinton's sex life nor do I care about Spitzer's sex life. They are non time consuming, unimportant parts of some people's lives. Those brief interludes had nothing to do with their abilities. I would suggest in the present circumstances we return Spitzer to the job he was completely able at. Investigating the intricate webs at AIG, Goldman-Sachs, Bear/Stearns, Merrill Lynch and denoting the tie ins with Paulson, CEO of Goldman thenSec of Treasury, Bananke, head of the Federal Reserve, and Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisors. Bananke has always carried the Republican's water. For example, the previous Board of Economic Advisors maintained that the recession of 2001 started in March of 2001. When Bush appointed Bananke as Chairman of the new board, one of the first acts done by Bananke was to have the new board change the date of the 2001 recession, stating that the recession began in Mar. of 2000, a move unheard of in the annals of Economic Advisory Boards. Yes Bananke's, Paulson's and the favored treatment awarded some companies ought be investigated by the highly competent Eliot Spitzer.”

“Why aren't the Dems fighting back? Why aren't they showing the votes Republicans made to get us into this hole? Why aren't they tying the unnecessary war with Iraq to this mess? Why aren't they investigating and pointing the finger at the previous AIG CEOs who agreed to a bonus without a clause stating if conditions warranted attached to the bonus contract? Why aren't they going after the Board of Directors for passing such a "no cancellation proposal? Why aren't they pointing out the Republicans and the money they received in 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, and 2008? I believe in 2000 Aig contributied 73% to Republicans and 9% to Democrats.
Why aren't they investigating the roles played by Paulson, CEO of Golman-Sachs and Secretary of the Treasury? Why aren't they explaining why they let certain companies go down and favorite companies get the public's largess? Why aren't they investigating the role Bananke plays as head of the Reserve? And come to think of it, if Americans have an 80 % interest in AIG, where is my stock so that I can vote to dump the mess at AIG?”
