“Since VietNam, I have had strong suspicions about the honor and integrity of our military dating back to 1957 when Ike sent military advisors to S. Nam. It was almost ten years of internecine fighting when the leader of American forces in Nam proclaimed "We are just beginning to see the loght at the end of the tunnel". Never have I witnessed and felt the shame of the last days of our stay in Nam. Today we are heeding and obeying the advice of a General who Awarded a Silver Star to a football hero for being shot by friendly fire after he most assuredly had known that fact. It is reminescent of the captured W Virginia girl being portrayed as Rambos. Mind you I greatly respect the girl from W Virginia and Spenser for serving their country, but I have no respect for supposed "officers and gentlemen" creating scenarios that are best left to Hollywood.”

Perhaps someone ought to explain to such a wordsmith as Rumsfeldt what "PREEMPTIVE" means. It means you choose the time, the place, the troops, the objectives, and the equipment necessary to fight that "PREEMPTIVE" war.”

He was constantly told by the inspectors to be patient, they still had not found a nuke or wmd program. There were no mobile wmd labs. Ridding the world of Iraq has gotten us exactly what? If you think there is a form of democracy in Iraq then you believe the stopping of the 2000 recount in Florida was a democratic act. Operation Iraqi Freedom is a pig in a poke. When Iraq rids us of our influence in Iraq with the devastation and killing that happened there because of our invasion, AQ need not put up any "We want you" signs for new enrollees. They will be there in abundance due to the brilliant leadership shown by Bush/Cheney not only in war but also the havoc they created on the domestic scene.”

“I really didn't care about Clinton's sex life nor do I care about Spitzer's sex life. They are non time consuming, unimportant parts of some people's lives. Those brief interludes had nothing to do with their abilities. I would suggest in the present circumstances we return Spitzer to the job he was completely able at. Investigating the intricate webs at AIG, Goldman-Sachs, Bear/Stearns, Merrill Lynch and denoting the tie ins with Paulson, CEO of Goldman thenSec of Treasury, Bananke, head of the Federal Reserve, and Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisors. Bananke has always carried the Republican's water. For example, the previous Board of Economic Advisors maintained that the recession of 2001 started in March of 2001. When Bush appointed Bananke as Chairman of the new board, one of the first acts done by Bananke was to have the new board change the date of the 2001 recession, stating that the recession began in Mar. of 2000, a move unheard of in the annals of Economic Advisory Boards. Yes Bananke's, Paulson's and the favored treatment awarded some companies ought be investigated by the highly competent Eliot Spitzer.”

“Why aren't the Dems fighting back? Why aren't they showing the votes Republicans made to get us into this hole? Why aren't they tying the unnecessary war with Iraq to this mess? Why aren't they investigating and pointing the finger at the previous AIG CEOs who agreed to a bonus without a clause stating if conditions warranted attached to the bonus contract? Why aren't they going after the Board of Directors for passing such a "no cancellation proposal? Why aren't they pointing out the Republicans and the money they received in 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, and 2008? I believe in 2000 Aig contributied 73% to Republicans and 9% to Democrats.
Why aren't they investigating the roles played by Paulson, CEO of Golman-Sachs and Secretary of the Treasury? Why aren't they explaining why they let certain companies go down and favorite companies get the public's largess? Why aren't they investigating the role Bananke plays as head of the Reserve? And come to think of it, if Americans have an 80 % interest in AIG, where is my stock so that I can vote to dump the mess at AIG?”

“I understand why the present CEO of AIG who sat on the Board of Directors and whose culpability was to allow approve the policies of AIG execs was questioned. But I find it more curious why we don't hear from the former CEO of AIG and the former Sec. of Treasury, Paulson?”

“Why question Liddy? Where and who are the people who drew up and agreed to this no escape contract. Why not a simple little clause stating if conditions warranted the retention bonuses would be doled out? Is that too difficult for all those smart CEOs and Boards of Directors? Maybe they are not too smart. An unsmart crook ought to be easily caught, Grand Juried, charged, and tried. Is Cuomo the only one with the cajones to go after these people?”
