“It is not HuffPo or the AP who have sought to exploit Ms. Parker's sexuality. The issue became a matter of controversy when anti-gay forces in the Houston community-with support from outside-made her lesbianism an issue in an attempt to smear her. Fortunately, the majority of the citizens in Houston aren't buying into the hate-filled rhetoric. I send my advance congratulations to her.”

“I disagree with you on this one. The anti-gay forces only occurred within the last week. This story hit the national scene when national races were going on. Frankly, I live in Houston and have not seen much anti-gay campaign going on - it mainly was about her conservative stance when she was comptroller. The police department supported her opponent because she wanted to cut the budget.”

Almost immeadiately after the news broke that Bristol Palin was pregnant and he was the father, the Palin campaign had Levi's facebook page taken down! The comments and his info-typical for a kid his age-were thought to be an embarrassing liability for Palin. I say let him be. “This is a question for which I've been trying to find an answer. I'm not particularly concerned that Mrs. Palin quit the Governorship of Alaska for "frivolous self-serving interests" Her motives are subject to speculation and a wide variety of opinions. It seems to me that a person does not deserve a lifelong honorific having quit their elected position without fulfilling even one term. It demeans the office and those others who have taken their duties to those that elected them seriously.”

“It seems unlikely that a star of Marilyn's stature would be so willing to be happily captured on film smoking dope. Not only would it have landed her in jail, it would have cost her her career ala Robert Mitchum. Who know if Marilyn smoked dope? She probably had plenty of opportunities and may even have been pre-disposed, but does it matter? Not to me. The reason I was excited by this short clip is that it shows Marilyn completely at ease, smiling, laughing and shining so brightly. It made my day seem so much easier after watching her.”

Bill has lots of reasons to be friendlier to a public option than Limbaugh and Beck. For one, The Catholic Church's US Bishops would back a public option that "respected life". Their terms, of course, but they do not object to sharing the burden among all of us on idealogical grounds.

We may have democracy and the traditon of our founding fathers on our side, but the ultra far right seem ready to use more than just shouting people down.
