"Study of Bush's psyche touches a nerve"

A $1.2m study funded by the US government has concluded that conservatism can be explained psychologically as a set of neuroses rooted in "fear and aggression, dogmatism and the intolerance of ambiguity".

As if that was not enough to get Republican blood boiling, the report's four authors linked Hitler, Mussolini, Ronald Reagan and the rightwing talkshow host, Rush Limbaugh, arguing they all suffered from the same affliction.

The authors also peer into the psyche of President George Bush, who turns out to be a textbook case. The telltale signs are his preference for moral certainty and frequently expressed dislike of nuance.

"This intolerance of ambiguity can lead people to cling to the familiar, to arrive at premature conclusions, and to impose simplistic cliches and stereotypes," the authors argue in the Psychological Bulletin.

"Holidays" includes all of the people, as it covers multiple different religious holidays (even for those who think Santa rather then Jesus on Dec 25) and even the none religous holidays like New Years. One ad that includes everyone, rather then an ad for Christians, an ad for Jews, an ad for Muslims, an ad for Athiest, an ad for Pagans (Actually a lot of ads for Pagans as they have a multiple names for the holiday that happens on or near the Winter Solstice), an ad for Mormons, an ad for Scientoligist, an ad for... well you get the idea.

Kerry isn't from California and he has zero influence out here as far as I know. And a conviction of his daughter for a DUI would have zero consequences for Kerry's Senate seat. So, again, why would this matter to Kerry? He'd be in far worse of a situation if it came out that he used his influence to get his daughter's DUI tossed out.”
