'Decade From Hell': Time Mag Trashes The '00s
Commented Nov 25, 2009 at 19:18:57 in Media
“An attack from without to start the decade and an attack from within towards the end. Terror was brought to our shores big time and the country united to fight back. But, poor leadership and the inability of all to unite brought the effort to simple bickering. Government interferred in the markets but the markets did not compensate for their intervention. So the markets crashed. Bush, Frank, Dodd et al will go down as the shakers of this decade.”

"Study of Bush's psyche touches a nerve"
A $1.2m study funded by the US government has concluded that conservatism can be explained psychologically as a set of neuroses rooted in "fear and aggression, dogmatism and the intolerance of ambiguity".
As if that was not enough to get Republican blood boiling, the report's four authors linked Hitler, Mussolini, Ronald Reagan and the rightwing talkshow host, Rush Limbaugh, arguing they all suffered from the same affliction.
The authors also peer into the psyche of President George Bush, who turns out to be a textbook case. The telltale signs are his preference for moral certainty and frequently expressed dislike of nuance.
"This intolerance of ambiguity can lead people to cling to the familiar, to arrive at premature conclusions, and to impose simplistic cliches and stereotypes," the authors argue in the Psychological Bulletin.

Do you know what "peer reviewed" means? The decades of data and analyses the show humans are factor, accelerating global climate change are peer reviewed.

So, your comment about her not being striking is way off the mark. Second, the image is the face of a monkey in the place of the face of the FLOTUS. That's way different than the face of a celebrity going to the store. I'm sure that Michelle could give as good as she gets if she were to sink so low to converse with ppl posting pics like these. However, this isn't about the dozens, it's about respecting the FLOTUS.”

Kerry isn't from California and he has zero influence out here as far as I know. And a conviction of his daughter for a DUI would have zero consequences for Kerry's Senate seat. “Obama is responsible for the real estate market going bad, too?
Why don't you stick to blaming him for things that he was actually responsible for? (It might give you more credibility)”

“It is the Dems versus the citizens. Who will win? An unpopular president and Congress pushing the citizens away. Interesting.”

“Transparency can be difficult to grasp. For 8 years, it seemed folks were content to be told there is a "Decider" in the WH and paid not as much mind as to WHAT that Decider was doing to the economy and not doing to the w/a/r in Afghanastan. As long as folks got their daily alerts (which proved to be b/o/g/u/s also) then I guess they were content. So, in memory of their 8 years of d/e/l/u/s/i/o/n, it feels like an "orange" kind of day. As the s/m/o/k/e clears and their reflections of times past proves to be as misguided, do they still feel any better now in not supporting this President?”

Here's a list of Government contractors that have been found GUILTY of misconduct, unlike ACORN who has not.
