“How is it possible that I can still be dismayed by media reporting? Tonight I watched some CBS news (something I very rarely do), and they covered the health care vote, of course. They followed up with someone named Jeff Greenfield, who they called their "senior political correspondent", or something like that, to offer his (air quotes)analysis(air quotes) of health care voting. He furrowed his brow in deep concern about the lack of bipartisanship, remembering how Republicans had voted for Social Security and Medicare, and then lamented how today's Democrats seemed to be taking a uniquely nonpartisan path. Never once did he reveal a glimmer of awareness about the tactics of the Party of No, choosing instead to cluck at the Democrats.
