But, a senator's role includes traveling between D.C. and home to interface with constituents. The role includes solving problems under pressure and quick thinking. You also need a fast learning curve to be a great politician, as evidenced by Obama. Contrast Obama with the elderly McCain.

I don't think the U.S. should have mediocre senators. Rather, I think our representatives should be at the peak of their careers and skills. I also believe diversity and fresh eyes are important. Term limits assure new blood and diverse perspectives. We could use a few non-white, non-lawyers in Congress!

By the way, may professions, like aircraft controllers and pilots, have mandatory retirement ages. These limits have everything to do with job performance and nothing to do with Adolf or ge.nocide.”
