Was Michael Hastings' Car Hacked? Richard Clarke Says It's Possible

Was Michael Hastings' Car Hacked? Richard Clarke Says It's Possible

Commented Jun 25, 2013 at 02:26:57 in Entertainment

“the very nature of a theoretical car hacking wouldn't leave much evidence, but it is something very technically possible. if something has electronic communication connected to a control system, its signal can be intercepted/hijacked, etc.”

“There appears this beleif that if something is possible, it is okay to speculate it occurred,  That is FOX-esque journalism.  I suppose it is possible you are a child molester (I mean children do get molested and it is possible for you to do it), yet it would be grossly irresponsible for me (or anyone) without evidence to speculate about it privately and particularly publicly.”

“"at no cost" - right, it's free, doesn't cost any resources whatsoever, it is just magically produced and provided”

“Then why am I paying premiums???”

KerFuFFler on Aug 8, 2012 at 14:21:05

“No, it's not magical----it's common sense. The insurance companies find it less expensive to cover birth control meds than higher rates of pregnancies. The insurance companies WANTED to be able to sell the policies with birth control coverage, but certain religious employers were hell-bent on forcing their own religious priorities down the throats of their female employees and tried to insist that birth control not be covered. They said "We refuse to pay for birth control for our employees." So the insurance companies were happy to throw it in free so that they would reap saving from covering fewer pregnancies but the employers would not be responsible for paying for it. Win-Win Win for the insurers, the employers and the employees! Except no, the employers were still pissed because it was not paying for birth control that bothered them after all; they just loved being able to force their own religious rules on their employees regardless of the beliefs of the employees. So the religious employers continue to whine about it. As far as I'm concerned, the new policy that Obama supported PROMOTES religious freedom because now the employees can live according to their own beliefs!”

“"at no cost" because they will now be covered under insurance programs women were already paying for.”

jdl51 on Aug 8, 2012 at 14:01:11

“Insurance companies are more than happy to provide it free because it's such a cost saver in terms of pregnancy costs and the costs of providing healthcare for children as well. Insurance companies have volunteered to cover it at their expense, and not the employer's. So a religious organization can not use the claim that they are the ones providing the coverage when it's the insurance company doing it.”

Is the U.S. Justice Department Supporting Discrimination by the New York Fire Department?

“Racial quotas are not part of the dream. You can't show that the tests themselves are discriminatory, other than assessing a very base level of competency. You are hurting "racial minorities" who have passed these tests.”
