All of Christianity had its origin in Judaism, as Christians would point out and as is written in their scriptures as well. However, the Christmas tree is for sure a Pagan import. But it is not a necessary part of Christmas. Lots of Christian cultures do not have something like a Christmas tree.”

“Please explain what you need rescued for? People seem to forget that they agreed to pay for a house for a specific amount. You agreed to pay a certain amount, this whole I am underwater notion is completely misguided. Your house is only worth what you paid for it or what someone else will pay you for it. So please, you don't need rescued just because someone tells you your home is worth less than what you actually paid for it. Homes are not stated to actually continually rise. People should start purchasing homes for the old fashioned reason, to live in, not for an investment where they expect a gain in a couple of years. If your current income is the same, then you should not be worried and this "I am underwater" thinking is a non-issue. If you have lost your job due to the economy and don't have that income anymore, then I am sorry that you are now faced with a difficult life situation that happens to a lot of people. The government should not be helping anybody out for that reason. Your post reads like a "who is going to help me because I am in difficult situation", the answer should be no one. I get the impression many people just want others to take responsibility of their own choices. Accept the fact that you made a choice at the wrong time and take responsibility. That is life's tough road.”
