“The Cubans are out of step with every other Hispanic group in the USA. Even younger Cubans are moving to the Democratic side in huge numbers. The Republicans think they can win Hispanic votes by having a fringe Hispanic candidate. No way, they have to change their policies first. A significant percentage of the present day Republicans do not accept anyone that looks different. All Republicans allow this behavior to exist in their party. Mr. Rubio you are tolerated in your misguided party. You know this and it is time for you to face reality. It will do your emotional well being good to come to the side that wants you and respects you. Gracias”

“The Cuban community went Republican because the Republican party always supported their "Hate Castro" campaign. That segment of the Cuban community is almost as old as Castro himself. Their Grandchildren, OTOH, are moving beyond that and starting to ask: How Insane ARE these TeaPublicans?”

“Cruz is a Cuban Hispanic. Cubans turned Republican during the Bay of Pigs event. Senator Cruz young Cubans are going Democratic in droves since the are much more welcome in the Democratic bigger tent. You should join them because they are the future.”
“Now is the time to also make people with salaries over $100,000 to pay fica for all their wages. It would save Social Security.
As far as Obama Care I'm sure that their will be fixes as we go on, like a single payer system.
We the people must stay engaged.”

“I agree. The Social Security Payroll Tax and Medicare Payroll Tax should have no ceiling and should include the tax on capital gains.
However, I still believe that Obamacare should be repealed. It does NOT reduce or even control the rising cost of healthcare, in fact it increases it, as well as the insurance premiums. It's Unamerican. Tort reform (and it's domino affect) and the ability to purchase health insurance across state lines would save more and control healthcare costs more and with NO cost to the taxpayer. Many states only have 2-3 insurance companies competing for business. Also, Obamacare does nothing to control the worst healthcare cost increases, the Hospitals.”

“Senator Rubio you can answer that question correctly if you join the Democrats. You're Hispanic and the base of the Republican party does not want you in their party. You know that younger Cubans in Florida are starting to vote Democratic. It's time for you to join the future.”
“If Texas does secede the military bases must be removed, NASA must leave Houston, they must build embassies in every country around the world, they will not trade with their enemy the USA, they must pay back all the assets we have built there like roads and all other infrastructure and other assets. Let them go.”
“I have been wondering why the rhetoric is always the same. The Republicans say no more taxes but as I understand it Obama wants to close loopholes. What sane legislator wouldn't want this? The Repubs muddy the water by saying no raising taxes. We must respond by saying it's not raising taxes, it's closing loopholes.”
how did that happen on Feb 22, 2013 at 01:23:56
“Loopholes are tax deductions that are dished for the purposes of getting those that get the deductions to do something that they normally wouldn't do, or to pay off groups of people or corporations. An example of some of the "loopholes" is your mortgage interest deduction, or a deduction for children, medical expenses, medical insurance, moving expenses, etc.
The deductions for the oil companies were originally written in so the smaller companies could compete with the big oil companies. During recent testimony in front of the House, the BIG oil companies said that they didn't need the deduction. The reason they said that is because if the deduction was eliminated, smaller companies could no longer compete.
At the beginning of the tax debate, Boehner proposed eliminating the deductions that the wealthy got that were aimed solely at them and the Pres said that would not work and insisted that the tax rates should be raised. That is what he asked for and exactly what he got. What is the complaint when you get what you ask for?
He also asked for the Sequester Bill and when the Congress passed it, he signed it indicating that he thought it was a good idea and it is now law. If it was good then, it must still be good now, yet he is out campaigning against the bill that he signed into law. Is he now saying that he had a bad idea and he was wrong when he signed it?”

“Do you ever stop to think what happened to the Buffet Rule? You remember that one: those evil rich people are not paying a fair share, right? Senate Bill S. 2230?
Its another example of Reid blocking bills and then blaming everyone else. This one will make your head pop.
The bill went to Senate floor March 29, 2012, Harry Reid invoked cloture on March 29, 2012 before it went to the floor. Under cloture: no discussion, no debate, no amendments, it has to be voted on as is. Now the bill just sits there. No one will vote on it, republican or dem.
Reid made sure the tax loophole for his best friends stays in place. Yet, the media has fooled you into thinking some republican did it.
Here is Part II. republicans ran on closing all loopholes but lowering rates so small business (who does not get loopholes) would not get hit. But you fell for the propaganda.
The rates have been raised yet Obama's rich elites still pay nothing but small business got hit. Now Obama has you believing he wants to get rid of loopholes....after he campaigned against it.”

“Loopholes...that "Friends of Obama Companies" use to save millions/billions a year? GE and Facebook come to mind.”
wobblysow on Feb 21, 2013 at 17:51:52
“Of course it's raising taxes. It raises the total tax take. If you remember, Boehner wanted to close loopholes to raise revenue, Obama demanded an increase in rates instead. Probably so he could claim he stuck it to the rich.
Now, he wants to close loopholes too. One or the other, can't have both, and he chose rates.”
“Bush and his cronies gave the victory to the terrorists. Bush's actions put us the the economic situation we now face. Two wars on a credit card but nowhere on the budget. The hypocrisy just keeps spewing from some in the far edges of the right.”
“It is very obvious that most of the anti-Hillary comments are the right wing repubs that have always been against this woman and her husband. The race is still very close and if she quit now we would call her a quitter. Both of our candidates are running a good race and they are being honed to be sharper for the general election.
It was also a good thing that hubby Bill went over the line in defending Hillary. I would want my spouse to defend me the same way.”

“I'm no right-wing Repub, as you put it. Clinton is not qualified for the presidency...unless 8 years as first lady and six years in the Senate qualify her. Obama has a lot more experience and is much better-qualified, mentally and emotionally. He is a stable man; she is crazy. AND, I'm a Liberal Progressive Democrat.”

She voted for an immoral and unjustified war of preemption.”
“Governor Richardson has all the experience we need to regain the respect we lost during Bush. A diplomat that has negotiated for hostages in Iraq - in Africa. Respected by all countries. He has faced hostile countries and came away with agreements that were good for America. He also has the experience of management of a state - a cabinet post. I'm very excited about Gov. Richardson”
