“This is fantastic and most of the items available here are great. But why can you get Solar Cooker packages include 2 solar cookers, 2 pots, 2 pot holders, a years supply of plastic bags and skills training for women and girls.for $30 or a single soccer ball for $30? I'm sure they have their reasons but my mother is going to be the proud "recipient" of the solar cooker package thankyouverymuch. And wow, maybe clean water for a single person for 20 years as well.”
The First Ten Lies from Going Rogue

“Frankly I can't stand Sarah Palin and for the sake of women everywhere wish she would just disappear. However, I can't help but think some of these "examples" of "lies" are just as frivilous as Palin herself. She's not American because she's from Alaska? Well then the President really isn't a citizen because he's from Hawaii. And Palin accepted someone's appology for releasing the wrong press-release about Bristol's pregnancy? If I did that at my job, I would appologize and fully expect to lose my job. Politics is a high-stakes game and if you screw up that big you should lose your job.
There are a million things Palin has done that she should and will be called on, the least of which is setting women's rights back 50 years. Let's leave the dirty tricks and half-truths to the Republicans, shall we?”

“I think the point was not that she is not an American citizen but she is from Alaska which is purported to have a very different culture than that of most of American, therefore, its not that accurate to say her life was the American Life which implies that it was what the average American life would be like. Plus, she had never really been outside of Alaska so she never really experienced the diversity of culture and geography and ethnicity and social customs that America has to offer. America is the quintessential melting pot so most people would have to have significant time spent with average Americans in a broad frame of contexts to really understand the American Life. Both seem accurate to me. Althought saying she isnt really American because Alaska isnt really America is incorrect and completely misleading. I will give you that much.”

“This is the same morning show that repeated Palin-esque diatribes about Obama throughout the campaign and most likely continue to do so now. Unfortunately this newest intolerant hate-speech does not surprise me, but it sickens me nevertheless. I don't listen to the station but have allowed my fiance to play their non-morning shows in my car, but I'm deleting the presets.”

“That's like saying " I can't be a racist because I have a black friend".
Michael Steele is everything the GOP rails against affirmative action for. They saw a black man elected to president and said, "aw gee, we'd better get our selves one of them guys with melanin." Just like they saw Hillary Clinton nearly become the Democratic nominee and said, "oh we'd better get us a chick," and made Palin the vice-presidential candidate.
Michael Steele claimed that he was pelted with oreos and that was a big fat lie. http://med iamatters. org/items/ 2006042600 15
Lincoln would not be a Republican now. The current Republican party would be unrecognizable to our forefathers. And Michael Steele is absolutely nothing like Abraham Lincoln.”

“The First Amendment does not protect all speech such as speech that would cause imminent or potential violence against particular persons. There are restrictions on hate speech or fighting words, and the use of untruths to harm others (slander). When people are carrying signs that say things like "hang 'em high" and Michelle Bachman is saying she wants people "armed and dangerous", there is a very short fine line there.”

“Our progressive shows out here in Sacramento were all taken off the air, and not because they lacked ratings. When a show that is number one in its demographic is replaced with sports, that's not a free market. There are other forces at work. That's why there is talk of the fairness doctrine. But most progressives don't want the fairness doctrine- they just want the market to actually decide what is on the air.
BTW Bocababs, you can get most of your favorite shows on podcast. The Stephanie Miller Show makes me laugh on my commute and I don't even have to hear commercials. Too bad it's not free.”
