Commented Aug 14, 2009 at 09:23:53 in Green

“There is OBVIOUSLY a disconnect between Whole Food Market's CEO & their customer base, regarding health care and the need for reform. I'm boycotting until Mackey is fired from his CEO position.”

“He was against all Progressive causes for over 15 years that I know of.

Why did my more complete comment regarding this scam get scrubbed??”

“WF has been like this for over 15 years that I know of, they are very anti-union, anti-labor, and about as Neo-Con as you can get. Some of the short-term employees might be Progressive, but not any management.”

“I'm boycotting Whole Foods until they fire Mackey. This is not where I want my hard earned dollars to go. Get it together Whole foods -- hire a more progressive CEO.”

“Even when they fire him, what is the board like? Are they also right wing republicans? I have a feeling this their corporate culture - and they thought they would fool progressives into spending their hard earned dollars.”

"The View" Argues About "Darwinism" And Creationism (VIDEO)

“KEEP RELIGION OUT OF SCHOOLS! Whoopi, NO! Go ahead don't teach you're children about Darwinism (which is a fact based science) and see if they get accepted into anything other than a religious university. Keeping children ignorant about science is child abuse. Religion has no place in the school system (it's a belief, not a fact based science). Religious folks love to gloss over that major fact.”

“I admire folks who try new things and enjoy the learning process. And it's weak to criticize and judge folks for going through the process. Whatever he's doing, he's doing because he's following his personal path. It would behoove critical folks to follow their own path and become vulnerable to learning something new. (Everyone needs to watch Earthlings -- It's the most important documentary you'll ever watch). For the record; beards and a few extra pounds -- Hot. Way hotter then all the six pack ab nonsense.”

“That is not the point. The point is it is downright awful. Did you look at him? Did you listen?

I am not against some one taking a risk, but it is like if I took on a aristocratic British accent, started wearing tuxes and thought I could play classical piano.

IT IS LAME.....

A little critical skills on your part would probably help you.”

“Being a mean-spirited person is unheathly. Posting negative comments and condemning folks on the Huffington Post will give you cancer or at the very least will make you sick -- if you already aren't sick. The studies conducted on soy is minimal and not thorough enough to make an accurate assessment. There are huge differences between heirloom/organic soy and conventionally grown soy. There are no studies indicating heirloom/organic soy being unhealthy if you are not allergic. A vegan lifestyle is progressive and healthy when followed correctly. I'm forty years old yet, was carded last night at Whole foods -- when buying a bottle of organic wine for "looking so young and healthy" as the cashier described me. She looked at what I was purchasing and commented "ooh, it's because you eat so well." And for the record; my doctor who is an omnivore says the same thing. Anyone with a compassionate heart will think what Heather Mills has done for the Bronx community is rad and commendable. Be well.”
