“the goal: to get as many people addicted to government hand-outs as possible. It has nothing to do with protecting the economy. Democratic politics.”

“Yeah, because losing your job and getting a fraction of your prior income to pay your bills, keep a roof over your head, and and feed your family is such a magical joy ride how could it be anything but 'addictive.' Republican BULL.”

“tell us - what have the GOP done to protect the economy (let alone improve it)?”
butch blather on Dec 7, 2013 at 14:35:18
“Incorrect. The goal is to insure people can survive and care for their families long enough for conservatism and Republican obstruction to fade away. And it will fade away.”

“Both the CBO and CRS non-partisan entities vitiate your polemic completely.
“I don't understand your logic. They get a salary. Let's say 50K (for a teacher with a few years experience). They work approximately 9 mos for that salary. Then they get unemployment in the summer. Seems like a pretty good gig to me. I know it is gospel that teacher's are underpaid, and this idea is perpetuated by main stream culture, but I don't swallow it. I do agree teachers have to jump through a lot of hoops to meet certification, but the salary exceeds the talent required to be a teacher, which is a pretty low bar. Their salaries and benefits should be reduced. And yet, all we hear about is the need to increase education funding and salaries. It's insanity.”

“teachers don't leave the school the day school ends. they are there for a few more weeks and they go back in August to prepare for the new school year. they have July off.”
“you should be ashamed. You only work 9 mos a year, and get paid a generous salary.”

“during the summer they get unemployment, not their salary. teachers are paid less than you think. as much as college costs them, they deserve better pay. they have to pay back student loans and that takes a few years to do. their degree isn't handed to them.”
“you could tell by his thuggish demeanor that this was no ordinary security guard, he was a cop.
This is a scary scene. It did not resemble a scene in America, it resembled a scene from a totalitarian police state. One of the more infuriating aspects of this story, is the man who was shoved by the police officer was charged with second degree assault on a police officer. Clearly the police officer was the one assaulting the citizen. The police are starting to act as if they can act with immunity.”

“PRECISELY! Scary as heck! I cried when I watched this....all Patriots must have felt the same....or just exploded.......My blood boils after it gets chilled like this.
I hear the song ...This is not America in my head.
Pretty friggin scary stuff. The Militarization of our police and the indictranation of U S citizens to "Comply" with any Uniform or Tin Badge....is just sooioo....Orwellian.
WAKE UP AMERICA!”

“He could have been a bouncer or just a really fit guy. Most cops I know aren't stacked like that guy. :P”
