“The thing is I dont believe that children raised in a homosexual atmosphere can be anything but gay when they grow up. If you really cared about the children, wouldnt you care about the stigma of having two mommies or daddies. When other kids have friends come over will these kids have friends come over. There are already too many things in this world to try to explain to kids without havung to explain why their classmates have two of the same sex parents. If gays truly cared about kids they would never adopt them, or have them artificially. Why do you want to hurt the children?”

“following this stuopid logic then you don't beleive that "children raised in a HETEROSEXUAL atmosphere can be anything but HETEROSEXUAL when they grow up" and THAT is not the case at all for gay people come from HETEROSEXUAL people so your theory ( like most RIGHT WING uneducated people's ) is completely baseless, without out fact and without a leg to stand on
read some research to LEARN something before you shoot your mouth off”

“"The thing is I dont believe that children raised in a homosexual atmosphere can be anything but gay when they grow up."
Ok, but that's demonstrably wrong. There are generations of kids who were raised by same-sex parents and they are heterosexual at the same rate as the rest of the population. This is reality. This is not hypothetical.
How many more generations will it take for you to disabuse yourself of your incorrect notion?
As for the stigma, people used the same reason to oppose interracial marriage. We create the stigma. It's time to stop (and many if not most of us have). There's nothing to explain. Some kids have two mommies or two daddies or one of each or only one. That's reality. Also reality is that children raised by two parents of the same gender turn out the same as those raised by heterosexual parents. They aren't better off in foster care, as you seem to think. We know they aren't. Just as know they're better off when their parents can marry, which is what these children are asking for along with their parents.
You didn't answer me, though. Why do you want to hurt children?”
“Boo Hoo . I dont think it is the same lifestyle I live. I live with a woman like God intended. In case you didnt notice men and woman are different, there is a reason for that.”
EmmaDarian on Dec 30, 2011 at 09:21:30
“That reason has nothing to do with marriage. In case you didn't notice. Even the experts for Prop 8 (that's defending Prop 8) admitted that marriage is good for the children of same-sex couples (who turn out just the same as the children of heterosexual couples). Why do you want to hurt children?”
“All you people who choose to live like you do wish that all other people would too. My thoughts arent secret I dont believe they should ever allow gay marriage.”

“"you people"? You sound like you have a triple K membership card! I'm merely a teacher, but why do you care so much about the way people, whom you've never met, choose to live their lives? Your argument sounds a lot like bigotry in actions.”
“welfare is a program designed to get people thru the hard times NOT to stay on for life. If you really believe that drug users should be getting welfare there is something wrong with your thought process.”
“there you go again. I dont like the gay lifestyle choice, that doesnt mean I am homophobic. It just means I dont like it. I dont like pepperoni does that make me a pepperoniphobe. I have no fear of gays the lifestyle in my opinion is wrong.”
Dancenownzen on Dec 30, 2011 at 16:22:17
“1) Gay is not a "choice"
2) I did not say that you are homophobic. I said homophobic attitude
3) If you don't like gay "lifestyle" than live a herto one as you are and leave others to live their lives as they see fit. Learn to coexist in society with its diversity.... that is what makes America the unique country it is
4) do you know any gay people? Have you ever sat down and had lunch with or talked to a Gay person ....... at least with peperoni you based you statement on the fact that you may have tasted it or been exposed to it and decided you did not care for it ....... you give more repspect to that peperoni than to a group of people and that is sad”
“People have to get drug testing to make an honest living why not welfare recipients?”

“Because there are constitutional issues at play with a government agency taking samples without probable cause. If a private firm requires testing then you can enter a contract with them and give up anything they require at your free will however the government can not waive your constitutionally guaranteed rights period. Either give legitimate probable cause or no sample.”

“Maybe if welfare paid a living that would be a valid argument. As it is I don't think a family of four can pay their rent and utilities and buy toiletries etc. on $600 a month.”
“I have seen woman breastfeeding in public and you really couldnt tell what they were doing. Most of the time they put a light blanket or cloth over to cover it up. I think personally that the women breastfeeding dont want to bring attention to themselves. I think this guy has driven around in circles too many times.”

“Thinking of my example above, how would you be sure of his guilt? Plenty of people were "sure" enough of that innocent man's guilt based on nothing more than an arrest to suggest his death. Your (and their)prescription is not a country I'd want to live in. I prefer due process to lynchings. Let justice be served, sure. But there is no justice without a trial.”

“I will hope you would prefer a trial before he is executed. There was a story of a man (on 24th Street in Sunset Park) who was arrested in September for serial groping and many folks wrote into Park Slope Patch that he should be executed (for a crime, as reprehensible as it was, which is classified as a misdermeanor). Except he had an air tight alibi and was subsequently released.
Unfortunately, justice sometimes requires money, but its a good investment, even if there isn't a guaranteed return.”
