Gore Cancels Climate Lecture In Copenhagen

Gore Cancels Climate Lecture In Copenhagen

Commented Dec 06, 2009 at 20:12:04 in Green

“Hole in the ozone, the Communists are coming, avian flu, Y2K, HPV (human papillomavirus), swine flu, Global Warming. All of these things are nothing but a long line of scare tactics to put the general population on edge and have them buy whatever the government is selling. Only the sheep drink the Kool-Aid & are not skeptical.

As for Al Gore, he made his billions of dollars off of the worlds fear of Global Warming, so now since those emails were exposed he may just retire quietly to some island somewhere. I mean come on, something as important to these global warmists as Copenhagen is, I'm sure you are not going to have a scheduling conflict. It's just one more thing in a long litany of shady things for these crackpots.”

I just love this quote....& it's hardly the information of an innocent bunch. "The numbers matter. Under pressure in 2007, NASA recalculated its data and found that 1934, not 1998, was the hottest year in its records for the contiguous 48 states. NASA later changed that data again, and now 1998 and 2006 are tied for first, with 1934 slightly cooler."”

“It is kind of ironic that over the past decade or so we have had snow over Thanksgiving, (some years up to 6-7"), and the lakes have frozen over solid enough to go ice fishing over the Christmas Holidays near my house in Metro Detroit. These things didn't happen back in the 80's, ever. East Anglia emails be damned, it's the things I have witnessed with my own eyes that have me very skeptical. This past summer was the coolest I can remember in a long time (if ever) and these past winters have been the coldest I remember.

I've haven't believed in this global warming fiasco since long before I learned Al Gore (and numerous others) was making billions of dollars on his *green* companies (all the while burning more fossil fuels than hundreds of Americans).”

“I agree that the middle class is dead (I'm one of them), but I would not pin this all on the government or Wall Street. I have always put money in my 401(k) and Roth IRA. I also was smart enough to open up a brokerage account when I was 25 years old (14 years ago) and to buy stocks with my left over money. The thing is, anybody in America can do this if they want to instead of socking their money in a savings account. That's my 1st point.
The reason I believe the middle class is no more is because of through our greed & trying to save a buck, we found that we could buy cheap ass products from Taiwan, China, & Japan. This all but killed our manufacturing base. IDIOTS started buying Japanese cars, clothes from overseas, & now you'll have a hard time buying any electronics MADE IN THE USA. This wasn't the way it was. Thanks to people shopping at Wal-Mart and buying their made in *insert country here, not America though* products millions of people were put out of work, factories shuttered, & the junk shipped in from overseas.

I always look for the MADE IN THE USA label when I go shopping, sure some things cost more, but if it keeps one person working it is worth it. Did the Govt make it easy for companies to make things overseas? Sure, but have some common sense people, you can make the”

“This seems to me to be one of those "chicken or the egg" situations. Wally World moved into my small town some years ago. They literally ran many old "mom and pop" shops out of business as they could not compete. Even our old hardware store went out of business, an institution in our town that had been there for 100 years. It soon became a situation where there was nowhere else to shop in our small town.

I noticed after a couple of years that the merchandise offered by Wally World was less and less "made in America" after looking for sweat shirts and pants that used to be made in North Carolina, my home state. Now, it is virtually impossible to find anything made here, so if you need towels or sheets, or clothing, or a new phone, what are you supposed to do? We have very little choice now. The "big box" stores have seen to that.”

A friend of mine lives about 30 miles west of Ann Arbor Michigan, and in this little farm town you can still see two fake oak trees coming out of the ground that served as ventilators for the underground speakeasy that resides directly underneath it. “Okay so there will be no more lobbyists on the Federal Advisory Boards, but that still doesn't change the fact that there are (on average) a total of 6 lobbyists for every Congressman in DC fighting health-care. How in the f**k can we expect Congress to look out for us when the lobbyists have spent MILLIONS at fundraisers.
Here's a quote "The largest contribution, totaling close to $1.5m, has gone to the chairman of the senate committee drafting the new law." Now do you think that this bill is good for us, or better for the HC industry?

Obama said he would kick the lobbyists out of DC, but so far they are still running the show & heavily influencing which laws are enacted and which ones are not, and so far there is not a lobbyist for the common man, and until there is, Washington DC will keep on being a city of backroom deals and "Pay me & I'll get you a favorable law enacted" town.

Here is the website about the 6 lobbyists per congressman.

You doorknobs all are so quick to judge that all Sarah Palin fans are moronic idiots, & yet none of you realize that had Obama been doing a book tour & some ass-hat "reporter" was to ask his fans the same questions you more than likely would have gotten the same responses.

Not many people would fare well in a pop quiz when just trying to buy a book, I don't care if they're Barrack fans or Sarah fans. The sad thing is, is that at the rate Obama is going, the Republicans are going to have a serious chance in 012, against Palin or anybody else who steps up to the challenge.

If there was ever a time for an Independent to make serious noise, this next presidential election may be the time. I for one am hoping for a strong Independent in 012.
