“These Israeli Jews never cease to amaze me. While playing the "Whoa is me, Holocaust card" out of one side of their mouths, they do something not to far from what happened to them.

I quit feeling sorry for these people and their arrogance years ago. They continue to wage war on the Palestinians, constantly want us to feel sorry for them because they are oppressed, and it pissed me off to no end that every question in the last presidential run seemed to be what were the candidates views on Israel.

I for one, living in the Midwest could give a s**t if Israel is a country or not. I don't care if the U.S. supports it or not. I don't care if they go to war with all of the Arab world....it does not matter to me. They have one of the strongest military's in the world, and if the Arab Nations hate them (which they do), maybe they should try to play nice.”

This brings a tear to my eye every time I hear it spoken by the Bard of Bull, Al Gore......

One thin September soon
A floating continent disappears
In midnight sun

Vapors rise as
Fever settles on an acid sea
Neptune's bones dissolve

Snow glides from the mountain
Ice fathers floods for a season
A hard rain comes quickly

Then dirt is parched
Kindling is placed in the forest
For the lightning's celebration

Unknown creatures
Take their leave, unmourned
Horsemen ready their stirrups

Passion seeks heroes and friends
The bell of the city
On the hill is rung

The shepherd cries
The hour of choosing has arrived
Here are your tools”

“Do people not understand that if people would quit giving her SO MUCH attention that she would just fade away somewhere, but people keep stroking her ego so of course she is going to hang around the spotlight.

ALL politicians need to see their names in the headlines or else their fragile egos cannot handle it. Whoever a few posts back said that Palin & Obama aren't that much different was right....In actuality ALL POLITICIANS are the same.”

Marcospinelli replied on Dec 11, 2009 at 16:05:13

“Her book is tanking. Conservative websites can't give it away. It's not the people who are putting her front and center, but the media, with the DLC-controlled Democratic Party gleefully egging the media on.

It serves them (the media and the DLC) in a couple of ways.

There's the circus factor alone, for sheer entertainment, which increases their ad revenues.

But the most important is that with Palin on the GOP's 2012 ticket (the Republican base loves her -- since when have they cared to look beyond primaries to a general election?), it only helps Obama's reelection chances. It would force liberals into a Hobson's choice, where the Obama campaign can say, "Ok, Obama and Democrats have scr3wed you over, but you think you'll get a better deal with Palin and Republicans in the power?"

I'm finally at a point where I can say that's no choice: A Republican or a Republican in Democrats' clothing.

Right about then I'd say, "Check, please!" and head for the door. Because this noble experiment (democracy) is over. It's broke beyond repair.

There is a fix, but until enough people are willing to do that, say that, it's all over.”

“I applaud Matt Taibbi for writing this. Knowing he was a serious Obama supporter, not to mention a believer in his CHANGE bulls**t, it has to be hard for people like him who are now coming to terms with the reality that the presidency is NOT ran for the people nor with the people in mind, but rather for corporate Wall Street and big businesses only. Sure, they will throw us a bone every now and then, but your Hope & Change has turned into a helluva lot of more of the same.

Everybody thought Obama was a slam dunk 8 year president, but he is single handedly giving the Republicans power with each very unpopular decision he makes, eg, escalating the war (s), not bringing soldiers home from Iraq, bailing out every company with their hands out, even the way he has handled the health care fiasco.

I'm not saying the country wasn't in a mess when he took over, but we elected him to fix it, not to place blame. If he doesn't step up, some Republican (or egad an Independent) will catch on in the next few years. I'm not saying Sarah Palin either, people will sicken of her shtick, and she will fade away, plus she's a quitter.”

“This is just one most story in a LONG list of them to vote out every incumbent senator and congressman in Washington DC. I'm not saying these fools are directly responsible for this latest gaffe, but they keep pouring millions (if not billions) of dollars for these IDIOTIC wars into the war chest.

These lawmakers have proven time and again that they sure as hell are not looking out for the best interests of the Nation. If a democrat is in office come next election cycle, my vote goes to the republican running against him (or her), and vice-versa if a republican is in office. An Independent would be the ideal choice, since hopefully they wouldn't be beholden to anyone like the Big-Two. The sad thing is is that you cannot tell a republican from a democrat at all. Everyone in DC is bought & paid for, they look out for the lobbyists who got them there (to the tune of 6 per lawmaker on average), friends on their subcommittees, and special interests they might have.

So how do us sheep who elect these schmucks have a chance of getting anything that will benefit us done? Vote the incumbents out, that's how!!”

These things didn't happen back in the 80's, ever. East Anglia emails be damned, it's the things I have witnessed with my own eyes that have me very skeptical. This past summer was the coolest I can remember in a long time (if ever) and these past winters have been the coldest I remember.

“Okay so there will be no more lobbyists on the Federal Advisory Boards, but that still doesn't change the fact that there are (on average) a total of 6 lobbyists for every Congressman in DC fighting health-care. How in the f**k can we expect Congress to look out for us when the lobbyists have spent MILLIONS at fundraisers.
Here's a quote "The largest contribution, totaling close to $1.5m, has gone to the chairman of the senate committee drafting the new law." Now do you think that this bill is good for us, or better for the HC industry?

Obama said he would kick the lobbyists out of DC, but so far they are still running the show & heavily influencing which laws are enacted and which ones are not, and so far there is not a lobbyist for the common man, and until there is, Washington DC will keep on being a city of backroom deals and "Pay me & I'll get you a favorable law enacted" town.
