And, I would not argue that a woman has a right to use her body as she wishes (I am not for abortion, but I am for the right to choose). However, when I open a Web page to read news and opinion, I choose to not be faced with nearly nude bodies. I believe that there is a time and place for showing nudity, and that this is not news, nor is it opinion. It is salesmanship, period. My sis-in-law was hit three times by lightning, for instance, but she's never seen Rime Ice. And, she lives just far enough from the Denver airport for Rime Ice to become an incident for her -- as it was for this family in Brush, CO.

Ok. I'll buy that. But, where are the other 399 stories about Rime ice destroying homes? The odds of being struck by lightning in a lifetime are currently at 1/6250 in this country, with a reported 60 deaths per year and 340 injuries. Rime Ice either is under-reported or Mr. Fergus is a bit confused about his analogies.”

“I have watched Perriello for a year, waiting for him to bend to Washington's corrupt machine, because his agenda and his initiatives seemed too ambitious to work. He has not bent. He has not wavered. He is willing to compromise party lines to bring his constituents the best that can be offered from DC. He is an unflagging supporter for veterans and a tactful and caring leader for his district. I'm impressed with his ability to remain strong despite some rather cruel and unusual punishments coming from opposing district (and state) party leaders and their followers.

Perriello also is a Christian man, but you would never know it, because he never shoves his faith into people's faces. He practices a fair and balanced listening campaign that is face-to-face with his constituents. He SERVES his constituents and bends to the majority. I would give anything to have more people like him in Washington, but it appears that politicians like Perriello are few and far between.”

“The news is startling, since I've come to believe that funerals are commercial rather than religious. One way to get around this mess is to plan ahead and don't depend upon a loved one to take care of your lifeless body. As an aside, I cannot believe that the funeral industry will tolerate this suggestion, as money is money, no matter the religion.”
