“Ask Charlie Wilson.”

RJBOZ replied on Dec 02, 2009 at 12:12:59

“My sentiments exactly! We had an opportunity to actually do some real good in Afganistan following the Soviet withdrawal that signaled the end of "Charlie Wilson's War". Had we chosen to stay then and "finish the job" by investing in the future of the Afgan people by helping them to revitalize their population centers with schools and modernized infrastructure, thus providing them with a better way of life, we most likely would not be facing our current dilemma. Would Al Qaeda have established training camps and flourished in the region? Would 9/11 have happened? Sadly, we'll never know!”

“Dwight D. Eisenhower once said, that his experience in Europe taught him that the rise of extreme movements could be explained only by the psychological yearnings and social needs of its supporters, that was back in the late 1950's.

A pyschoanalyst named Eric Fromm identified and analyzed the character structure of people eager to surrender their freedom, who sought personal transcendence through authoritarian causes and figureheads. He was talking about the nature of fanaticism, he limited his analysis to the behavior of those who adhered to right-wing authoritarian movements, which he pinpointed as hothouses of individual dsyfunction.

With that being said, pay close attention to these nuts, they are going about the business of taking over the federal government, and individual rights and freedoms.

Read the book, Republican Gomorrah by Max Blumenthal. Get informed and prepared. These evangelical hard right cons are on a mission.”

If this isn't a smack in the face to the CiC, I don't know what is. The army should be ashamed of themselves, for such blatant disrespect.
