“MTM has always been a dancer, first and foremost. She still does, as far as I know, and every person whose trained in dance has amazing posture and a lithe figure. But she looks quite fetching for a gal of 75!!!”
“Having gone to a private Christian school, I can say there are a lot of "Christians" so full of hate and, well;, they don't do a lot of "Christian" things, like caring for a little boy who was a bit TOO flamboyant" for a bunch of Baptists. Frankly, I have my own God, and He has NOTHING to do with organized cults.”

“You have your own god?!
Wow. Can I have one?
I'll bet a personal imaginary being is way better than the one those organizations have!
“Oferchrissake! When our philandering President of the 1990's left office there was a surplus and NO debt. Capice? The math is really easy. Also, the whole banking debacle. Who in the hell make the government my financial partner?! From what coffers did all these illegal mortgages spring from. All I know, is I want my money. MY money. This government is plucking around with funds that were meant to buoy the country, not make crackpot investments or make heartless cuts to an already bare boned economy. I'm disgusted and applying for a visa to get the hell out of Dodge for as long as I can.”
“I say we put all of Government on a base level Social Security Payment (around $875), give them food stamps and utility allowances for a year. How many McMansions would go into repo and second and third mortgages. Better yet, I suggest, as an angry mob (with some boisterous Nelson Eddy type tenor leading) complete with torches, pitch forks and the like show up in DC, tar and feather the lot, and then put them out to see on burning barges. This government does NOT work. It's time for us to take action.”

“Ha - that would be funny to see them live off what I make! They'd be down to 2 or 3 houses in no time!!”

“Agreed on Riefenstahl. TRIUMPH OF THE WILL is an amazing piece of cinema, though at the time we had no idea that it was propaganda for the Third Reich. It is interesting, however, to note that her camera angles are used in all sorts of B&W still photography today, particularly in cologne ads for men. Her later work was astounding as well. THE WONDERFUL HORRIBLE LIFE OF LENI RIEFENSTAHL should be required viewing for all cinemaphiles. Great post.”

“There were plently of people who knew propaganda when they saw it in "Triumph of the Will". The title alone gives that away.”
“Well, I hate to say it, but this is a definite miss. The print is dowdy, the neckline is appalling, and those wrinkles at the lap!!! Could someone not have hit her with a little wrinkle releaser before she posed for photos?! Thank goodness she's got those coltish legs in those nifty shoes, however.”
