“Wow! Exactly! Mr. Stone is very much on point: Clinton is a hawk and will simply want to flex her toughness. Warren is a want to be reformer, in its very best sense. I will certainly work on Warren's campaign.”
“Mostly I agree with you beawild. However, that colloquial remark concerning dogs n balls is way, way out of line. I recall teachers in school who said a smart person doesn't have to resort to trash talk. A smart person demonstrates intelligence by using language that is not offensive communication, but still gets the point across. I know Mr. Clinton is a smart man. He needs to present a better image to youths by avoiding the trash talk. All it does is emphasize to kids raised in dire circumstances that it is all right to communicate rudely. I grew up in a very poor community. Those of us who worked hard at improving our language skills have done well in life.”

“Colloquial English is neither rude nor is it 'trash talk.' If it was spoken in private, President Clinton had no expectation that it would be repeated. None of us speak Shakespearean English every day.
BTW, it had nothing to do with balls. You failed to comprehend the comment. It was 'a dog with two Dicks.'”

“Another broad sweeping opinion that has no basis in fact. I heard that very opinion once and instantly recalled that some of the brightest, most successful people of all time used colorful or profane language.
Offensive communication for many is simply an extension of some belief system acquired long ago. The world should be some puritanical, vanilla place for folks like that. Thankfully it's not. I'd die of boredom.”

“First of all, we don't even know if he said it. It's just hearsay. Second, if he did say it, it was said in private. People are entitled to have a modicum of privacy, even famous people. He didn't say it in public for children to hear.”
“I absolutely agree with you, me again. I also do not believe in independent defense contractors. If our nation wishes to wage wars we should require that the military defense provide the water, the food, the electricity, the toilets, etc. for our troops. I hope that everyone remembers the multiple incidents of shoddy electrical wiring in Iraq that cost lives of our troops.”
“Because they are accustomed to complying with whatever an authoritarian figure tells them to do. That includes how they vote. At least, that is the only reason I can think why simple folk vote for Eric Cantor, Connell, Inhofe, Boehner, et al. I say this because I grew up in a family of very hard working laborers who believed whatever they were told for the most part. They were the type of Americans who, if you needed money, food, help, you could count on them to help you. To this day, I always take note as a matter of curiosity, who gives money to those begging on our streets. It is consistently, from what I observe, those individuals who are just a step away from poverty themselves.”
“Many of the "local farmers" in southern California are third and fourth generation farmers. Some are selling the properties for development when possible. That means they are paving over some of the world's finest soil to build houses. These newer generations do not want to farm. And, I suspect that these former farmers turned developers are not considering the long term effects of GMOs.”
“Minnesota, please read the words your officially elected representative said regarding the shut down of our nation. :"Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) called Thursday, the day the government reopened after a shutdown that lasted almost two weeks, "a very sad day."
All Americans want to see our great nation's governance working. We Americans do not want to see our nation default on its bills and obligations. We want to see our nation's people's working and able to continue forward. We want to see vitality, energy, jobs, parks, going full steam ahead, including providing for our poor, our underprivileged, and our ill.
Surely, Minnesota, you want that also? Why do you elect this person?”
“I am aghast at the headnote here: "Tom DeLay: 'Real' Americans Think Ted Cruz 'Is A Hero'".
What Delay said: "out here in the real world, outside of New York and Washington, D.C., these people think Ted Cruz is a hero". There is a very real, very subtle but important difference, HuffPo and your writers know it.
I am not in the least a supporter of Cruz, Delay, or the republican party, but I do think clear communication and accuracy are very important. Particularly when such a hot topic is being discussed. This is essentially why there is so much hate and anger in the world. Accuracy, fairness, and clear representation of material facts and statements is vital.”
“Very well said Lefty Liberal ! I agree. Strip these powerbroker-unamerician types of their committee member positions. (I say "un-American", because it is a word so oft associated with republican dogma. ex: those of us who did not want to send our children to Iraq to fight Mr. Bush/Mr. Cheney's preemptive attack were routinely called "un-American") . Back to your topic- It would be a gutsy move on the part of the republicans, but undoubtedly it would be in the best interests of the nation should they choose to replace tea partiers, et al, on the committees.”
“I am aware of the story associated with the song. I think that was doubly why I was so amazed that our venerable republican congressmen would choose it. I agree with you.”

“Course the "wretch" part was aplicable but the "saved like me" part doesn't seem to apply to them unfortunatly.
They most likely had no idea where song game from and were trying to gain sympthy from the public. More manipulation”
“I honestly hope mtnhermit, that is is simply because the republicans pushing this stalemate are just obtuse and and too simple to understand the horrific consequences. I honestly hope, that it is not because they are vile, and self-serving. I can't believe they sang "Amazing Grace" at their 'morning picnic'. It should have been, "Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me". No matter the outcome, we have already lost. We have lots our reputation, our good heartedness, and surely our strength. We've allowed it to be compromised and donated to the defense contractors, and the whiz kids on wall street.”

“Faith, Sometimes it's not good to give credit when it isn't do. Amazing Grace written by the owner of a slave ship when he turned around mid voyage and returned his "cargo" back to where they came from.
To bad the Republicans don't see the error in their ways and turn around and fly straight and stop holding our country and our future hostage. Kinda funny they picked that song don't you think?”
“How is it that Speaker Boehner looks so well rested? He should be in sack cloth and ashes. Not eating, not sleeping. Doing everything in his power to get our nation up and running. We have too many savvy congressmen who know how to play the game, get the money for their campaigns, but that is soley where their allegiance lies. It does not lie with the American voters. Only with the bloated money mongers.”
