“Credit card companies will not process a bill over $2500 for a dining purchase unless it is pre-approved. So these dead beats aren't just stiffing the server for a tip, but also the owner for the price of the food.”

“They will if you approve it though. So if they approve it and the waiter/waitress gets the money is it still stiffing them? If that was actually what was happening, this story would read different. The hatred expressed toward Christians is so rampant now that even their good deeds are condemned.”
“Why do they need food for Thanksgiving? They are going to be at the store working all day.”

“Many of us who have worked or will work on Thanksgiving just celebrate it the following day or the weekend. I will be working Thanksgiving ... starting at 1:30 a.m. until 8:00 a.m. and then I will be going home to get sleep! Many, many of us work Thanksgiving and if we didn't we would be hearing from people like you complaining that there were no doctors on duty or that you couldn't get gas to make it home fromGrandma's house!”

“Maybe another "friend" will give him a "gift" to repay them.”

“It already happened; I used the wrong tense in my sentence. Should have been 'Where'd the money come from.'
I'll wager that a wealthy special interest bought shares in one of his houses, or entered into a lease of some sort which provided funds upfront.
“Actually, I think he rationalized it after being prepped by his strategists on how this was a 'great idea' to ply to the US people to show how 'fortunate' we *really* are. It is manipulative, slanted, and disingenuous tripe. As many other posters have responded: make him live on that magical $34,000/yr in the USA for ten years and let us see how 1% he feels afterwards.”
