“I am wondering if even if they would not give it to the companies themselves­...would they give money to the financial arms Ford credit of GMac...so they can lend money to people to buy these cars and get things moving again.
These companies cannot be allowed to go under...th­ey are the single biggest buyer of US steel, plastic and rubber in the country not to mention the biggest buyer of health insurance in the entire country...­16 million + jobs will be lost...the­re will be no stopping the domino effect

“Sorry, only 3 million jobs in the auto industry, and a lot of those are at BMW, VW, Toyota, Honda, Mitsubishi, etc. These companies make great cars (unlike the US autos) and employ hundreds of thousands of American workers in great jobs.”
