“Totally agree - although I think there should be a lot more done to punish and provide psychiatric care for people who abuse, hoard, or kill domestic animals... It's certainly an indication of mental instability and the fact that most states only provide some kind of slap on the wrist for animal abusers is a real travesty...”

“Most guys have the mentality of a 16 year old... And is it really that hard to understand why women fantasize about a cute young guy? Is it any different from middle-aged guys who fantasize about Carrie Prejean or Jessica Simpson? He's not the first teen heart throb...I'm sure he won't be the last...”

“wow - lots of haters on this board. i'm much more of a true blood fan, but just saw a few interviews for twilight and this guy is a just a goofy kid who was picked from relative obscurity to be in this movie... it's pretty obvious from the interviews that he doesn't take himself seriously at all, readily admits he has no idea what he's doing on set, and is just trying to be funny during interviews... maybe cut him some slack? yeah, he's no shakespeare, but then again i think most girls and a lot of women just want to enjoy a little escapism for a couple hours...”

“Look - health care reform has been "politicized" for years and largely in part because congressmen on BOTH sides have focused less on "real people" and mainly on their own careers and getting re-elected. Keith focused on getting real people real care -and putting pressure on those that are standing in the way of real reform. I, for one, am glad he did. That's not tacky - that's activism. And Bill's a political animal - if he thought this would benefit him, he'd be there in a second.”

“"Is he just too darned intellectual? As far as I'm concerned, we need as much intellectual power in the WH as we can muster, after Bush/Cheney managed to completely BREAK everything they touched! How well did our country do during the last 8 years, when intellectualism, science, and FACTS were rejected? Is that what we should go back to? Sarah Barracuda in the WH - so horn y old men have something to drool at? Why did he bow to that Japanese emperor? Because that is PROPER and it would be considered an INSULT not to! Idiotic question and offensive to the millions of Asian-Americans living in the states who think that his actions were diplomatically correct. Why did he pick Tim Geithner to be his economic front-man? Only legit question in the bunch. Everyone would like to know the answer to that... Why all this dithering over Afghanistan? Considering we are pouring billions and putting soldiers in harms way - an actual "strategy" seems WISE. You can call it dithering - I call it decision-making and NECESSARY.And who thought it was a wonderful idea to bring the killers of 9/11 to New York City, the media capital of the world, so they could tell their story?" They won't be telling their story - they'll be STANDING TRIAL for their crimes. They're not appearing on Oprah - there are rules within the courtroom. Again, idiotic!”

“No you get real! In a trial - the defendant doesn't get to go off and make speeches and rants. He is prevented from doing so by the judge, and if he can't keep his mouth shut - the judge can simply remove him from the courthouse. It's completely idiotic to argue that a public trial would give the "terrorists a new platform" to spew lies... If anything, a public trial will show the defendants looking vulnerable and defeated.”

“I agree completely. And MSNBC producers are idiots. They should have seen it when Jon Stewart was able to take apart Crossfire, CNN, and Jim Cramer in a matter of seconds... Often their attempts to pit wingnuts vs liberals is about as effective as a high school debate. And listening to them shout and snipe over each other makes me want to stick a fork in my ear...
I will seriously miss Bill Moyers... And wish to God that someone would let Chris know - this isn't working!!”

“Rachel Maddow and Jon Stewart have criticized Obama when it was deserved - but they've done it in an intelligent way, using FACTS, not Repub talking points. I'm really disappointed in Chris, this time. I always thought that he was a tad emotional and hyper-active, but not a "center-right" person at heart, and certainly not one who would just criticize for the sake of his ratings... But simply repeating repub talking points and worse --allowing Pat Buchanan time to spew on and on is just pathetic.
Chris - now is not the time to be a cowboy or make rash decisions. We're throwing money at a corrupt government and putting more and more troops in harm's way - without an exit strategy!! Our soldiers don't have any idea what the GOAL is! You don't find that troubling?? And you don't want him to spend a couple weeks to make the decision?? Who are you? I expect the generals and the war-mongers to gin up people's fears and try to push us into escalation. I don't expect that from rational people who are old enough to have learned the lessons of the Vietnam War. Pathetic.”

“That is exactly my question! Chris - I can't believe I've been defending you in the blogosphere and now you sound exactly like the jokers in the GOP?! Have you been drinkin the Koolaid at Faux News?

And as an Asian-American, I am SICK and tired of all the racially tinged rhetoric around bowing to Asian Presidents. If he didn't bow - it would be considered as RUDE and culturally ignorant as we Americans would feel if we extended a hand to shake and the other person decided to fold their arms and walk away instead. It's ignorant and certainly wouldn't lead to any improvement in diplomatic relations! I expect that kind of stupid comment from the wingnuts - but not from you, Chris! Cut the cr@p. If the ratings at Maddow and KO are higher, it's because people appreciate intelligent commentary and some NEW INFORMATION, not a re-affirmation of what the wingnuts are trying to peddle...”

“Yer attempts to defend Bill are pathetic - keep fooling yourself if you like, but it is impossible for Bill to do anything without politicizing it. He had a chance to do some good, with VERY little effort. His statement "blasting" Keith - was a political one! And I'm sure the people of Arkansas got the point - it's less important for him to push the Dems to pass health care and help people at home --than it is for him to make billions with his foundation.”

“Abbie, your hero-worship has tainted your ability to see that Bill has acted stupidly in this case. Maybe he should have researched a little what Keith has done before "blasting him" and refusing to help. And sometimes people deserve the blame they receive. I don't think you can call his appeal to action - "hatred." Certainly not in the context of all the "hatred" that is regularly spewed by those on the right.. He did make a passionate emotional plea, which some people have a hard time taking... But I applaud him for trying to do something that actually helps people who desperately need it and illustrate an important point for Congresspeople who no longer seem to care that people are suffering without health care while they continue to act as obstructionists. He also raised quite a bit of money (1.2 mil) in a very short period of time. Yes Clinton could have easily raised millions more, with his name and presence. That only makes it all the more disappointing that he put his own politics and corporate interests above the interests of the people from his own state. Badly done, Bubba...”

“You just don't get it. Olbermann made it impossible for him to attend. Put the blame where it belonge.

Clinton can't attend because

1. Part of the deal for HRC to be SOC was for Bill to stay out of politics.
2. It was in Arkansas..dugh. He isn't going to get involved in attacking sitting elected officials that the people of his state voted in. That's just stupid.
3. He raises gazillions of dollars and knows how it's done....not by attacking others.”
