“Yup. There have been many instances such as that but it's more a matter of pointclick, googleads, and others offering ads relative to the topic at hand. There's oftentimes little choice by the site and in fact, much of it is driven by the users themselves.
This is an ad driven site. It matters not where the money comes from . . . even for stories that vilify those whose ad shows up.
Hypocritical? Heh, I can think of a number of terms that are more exacting.”

“I'm curious as to where this projected figure of 1 million is coming form. The US Courts statistics show just over 1.4 million bankruptcy filings for the past year ending in Sept '09. That is a total for all bankruptcy chapters, both business and private. I find it hard to believe that 1 million women will be filing in the next year. That's the close to the equivalent of 75% of all bankruptcies in '09.”

“You are confusing what he wants with what he is willing to accept. No question Obama wants a single payer system, that's about as liberal as you can get, before transitioning right into communist. He is willing to accept something/anything that he thinks might help out a few Americans. That doesn't make him less liberal, just more practical. Democrats should take what they can get on this one. If they don't pass something now, there won't be anything coming later.
I think Obama is getting a bad rap from the left. His isn't an easy job, and lets face it, the congress controls the agenda. He may not accomplish everything the far left wants, but that hardly makes him a republican.”

“"to pass the most important elements of the progressive agenda, the Senate must change its filibuster rules"
May I suggest that when the country is ready, you will be able to pass progressive agendas.
"The current 60-vote requirement to cut off debate empowers a tiny minority of Senators to prevent up or down votes"
I would hardly call 40 senators a tiny minority.
What is it with you uber libs that want to change the rules (that have stood for a very long time) everytime you can't do something you want done. You all are so out of touch with the rest of America.”

“Firstly, the country voted a towering majority to the Democrats in the House, 58 in the Senate and the Whitehouse. If that isn't an indication of the public being ready, you will never accept any sign.
Secondly, the rules haven't "stood for a very long time", they're actually quite recent.
Thirdly, it was only a couple of years ago that the GOP was trying to kill the filibuster altogether because Democrats blocked a few of Bush's most paleolithic judicial appointments.”

“Why is that liberals don't understand that if you give the enemy an end date, then they will just wait until you leave? Maybe it doesn't matter. Maybe Afghanistan will fall back into the taliban's hands once we leave regardless of whether they know when we are leaving or not. But it just seems to me to be a bad strategy to tell them up front that we have no intention of staying until the job is done.
That said, I personally think we should pull every troop out before the end of the year. We have next to nothing in common with the Afghan people. Every time I hear about us building something for them, or rebuilding something for them as the case usually is, I think wow... why are we wasting tax payer dollars on a country that doesn't respect women, that is entirely corrupt, that feeds a world's heroin habit, and that is a better example of BC times than modern. We'd better off wiping the whole country from the map, to take a page out of Ahmadinejad's playbook.”

If you were really hard core - you'd realize that a deadline is just that. If we're taking the war to the enemy then they are now on notice that - at the outside - they only have about 18 months left.
Putting a date on it also tells generals and the contractors just how long they have to get this second chance right.
It also recognizes that most of our allies are already on their own time table.”

If someone was writing a blog on hockey, and kept using the term disc to describe the puck, would you think that they had any idea what they were talking about? Of course not.
A flak jacket is an actual term that describes a type of tactical vest/jacket, but is in no way bullet proof. So my question is, does the sentence "All were armed and in uniform, and all were wearing flak jackets" seem leading, in that we should be SUPRISED that officers wearing these flak jackets were able to be shot?
It's imflammatory at worse, and just plain ole ignorance at best.”
