“I really disliked the title, Queer as a bad handed swipe toward gays, poor taste HP. I would have read the article without it.
To bad her father never got over losing to the bi-racial man in the White House.
Unlike, John Kerry who lost with dignity and class, McCain could not and has never been the same, he needs to go. Not to mention how bad his voting record is for the Vet Benefits, makes me very angry.”
“Changing Banking regulations needs to be done else where. If the GOP would stop trying to put everyone in jail and protect all those private jails they are so fond of, we could get this moving a lot faster. How many issues do you want the President and the President only to have to keep moving forward? Every time you turn around the GOP is yelling, Impeachment! Impeachment!”
“Unfortunately, these are the people who would be most helped by the Dems, yet they continue to vote against their own best interest, because of there ministers and the belief they have in them. It will take a longer amount of time to see this iron fist broken in a good way.”
“The Mineworkers Union is toothless, always has and continues to be worthless. This industry is owned by the coal companies and the GOP does their bidding at a snap of the donation bucket.
This industry is an example of the so called free, deregulation the right continues to push.
It is looking more and more like we are going back to the days when a worker was lucky to get home alive and will all parts still attached and working.
Think back to the days when railroads where being built with slave labor from China and else where and a worker was thankful for ending the day alive and with all their fingers and toes.
The GOP vision of America, no regulations, total freedom for the bosses and money flowing into their campaign coffins. The coffins that when emptied are use to bury the workers who have no rights or recourse.”
“Notice that both of the Senators are Dems. Notice how there does not seem to be the same hatred of GOP Senators .Anyone want to make a speculation as to why?
IMHO, the GOP has many people who hate as part of the base and love to use violence to get their way, it after all is the GOP way. They always want to use force in all situations.”

“No need to speculate - I think we know the reasons why.”
“Just maybe the decline in the Southern Baptist is partly caused by political and social burn out.
This group has been fighting everything from abortion to stopping gays for 30 - 40 years and has not seen much reward for the effort. The younger generation has so much more access to alternative viewpoints and information than just one book, it has effectively counter acted the iron hand of the elders.”

“While at the same time supporting the system that has failed people economically and politically. Who wants to get up on a Sunday morning to get hassled by another authority figure when there are already so many to put up with in life who aren't doing anything for you?”
“The GOP and rape. They want to make sure they have the ability to shove instruments into a woman's vagina when they want too. Of course they do not see rape happening in prisons, military, and to women, And this is the so called moral party, yeah amoral.”
“One item that always gets omitted in these viewership ratings is the fact that both CNN and Fox are contained in the basic packages for cable. MSNBC is not in the basic subscription, the second tier, but they are in the third tier, which is the most expensive. Thus, MSNBC is in fewer homes than either of the other two channels.
I would if that has any bearing on the final numbers? This is the same thing as saying billionaires pay more taxes. Yes, the sheer number is larger than the average worker, but percentage wise they pay significantly less than the working class. See, you can say what you want as long as you pick the right set of numbers.
Remember, statistics do not lie, but liars use statistics.”
“See that is just the point. You posted you would give him a pass because he lost a child? That some how if he had not, it would not be fine for him to have an opinion about our children being slaughter in our streets. That some how the amendment to have guns is more important than free speech. No it is not. The tired mantra of free speech gave this nation its' place in history, not our guns. It is what really distinguished America from all the other nation in 1776.
That and the freedom to choose a religion, not sanctioned by the state, those two cut America from a different cloth than any other nation at the time of the formation of this country, not the right to bear arms. The second amendment was put in to provide a means to create an army to fight off other intruders. It was a totally different concept then what the NRA is pushing.
Our fore fathers were leery of a large standing army, since this is how Kings and Dictators controlled the people.”

Wow. If that's what you got from what I said I'm gonna have to repeat myself: have a nice day.”
“Why? Does he not have the same constitutional right to free speak? Does he not have the right to blame people? Does he not have a right to think politicians who are getting rich on NRA contributions and their supporters funding are part of the blame?
He gets a pass because he is grieving? I get the impression that the second amendment trumps all others, is that correct?
If so why? Guns do not make us stronger. Free speak makes us stronger.”

“"Why? Does he not have the same constitutional right to free speak?"
I would read the rest of your post if you hadn't started off with the tired "freedom of speech" mantra as if that had anything at all to do with this.
“Equality, yes and I would have liked this to be done faster than it has been. Of course, ten years ago it looked a lot bleaker and I am glad that the it is gaining steam. For many of you, I have people close to me, it has been a tough, long, expense in many ways, fight for equality and I am very pleased that it continues to roll. I believe once there are 25-30 states, it will be even faster and the Supreme court may just give in totally at that point. One can only hope and keep fighting.”
“We do not have 100 years. I know what people are saying, but this is escalating quickly and more and more countries are contributing. We have a lot less time than 100 years. We will see in the next ten, more and more climate related horrors.,”
