“I do think there is a strata of Americans, I can't say how big or how small, or wont speculate, that are so removed from real information, so out of touch with the all too poignant truth of what goes on in the world - and therefore have not a clue how we got to this place in history, can't connect the dots, are not equipped to make an assessment, and just pull words out of the ether willy nilly, confuse hate and vitriol with a comeback.

The truth is there's zero excuse for this.

Someone should find out who this woman is and do a full public hanging (so to speak of course) of her and find out what she does. It would be an revelatory experiment. What kind of person, literally what kind of person, is this? Are there more of them?”

“plastic surgery makes women look like they've had plastic surgery, no more, no less. i think we are all brainwashed to think this is a good thing as the one being cut. these women certainly do not look "pretty" to anyone looking at them. i doubt a single individual has looked at a butchered woman with a hairline raised a couple centimeters and thought god she's pretty. at best, well kept like a lizard in fermaldahyde. moral issues aside, truthfully, they look like circus freaks. beyond the small nip tuck, its complete psychosis and definitely fugly.”

“it's because we Americans are always sugar coating and obscuring unpleasant reality - that is our culture but the French, on the other hand, always first jump to the most painful and harsh possible outcome or reality. They think worst before better. We think best before worst. It is very French that they did it this way. In this case, I think it might be the wisest choice to extinguish hope and let them begin to grieve. It's realistic. Any other outcome would be and should be a complete surprise. This looks to be the worse case scenario. I have crashed on take off before and have an almost religious relationship to my own flying. I can best tap into my own sense of zen because it was the only way to let go and fly again. I was also over the Atlantic while this flight came down between NY and Barcelona and I have to say, I felt incredibly uneasy at times during this flight though there was little turbulence. I was keenly aware of the ocean below when I'm not usually aware of it at all. I tune it out an hour into a trans-atl flight.”
