What is that supposed to mean, that black kids are the most in need of hearing this kind of message?? You don't know of any white children who need to learn the importance of empathy, hard work, and respect for others??”

“Stop the hypocrisy progressives because we ALL bear blame for not fighting for the singgle payer and later the public option.
The truth is that WE ALL share the timidity and seem to have lost our ability to fight. My opinion is that:
(i) President Obama did not fight hard for what he knows we wanted as liberals
- trying so hard to please republicans and win Snowe's vote as a bipartisan but who now has abandoned him with ridiculous excuses that the bill is bein rushed
(ii) The White House Team has many members whose loyalty is conflicted and have little care for us poor mortals
(iii) A number of our Dem Senators are very corrupt and care more about their insurance company and health industry lobbyists that they do about us ordinary people;
(iv) Grassroots progressives activists and regular people who supported reform were largely missing in action and allowed the Tea Baggers to dominate the public discourse as we ONLY sat behind our computer screens and failed to take our fight to the street.”

If it continues through conference and doesn't get any worse (it could get a lot worse) and finally gets to the President's desk for his signature, it is will an enormous win for our President.
