“Apparently you don't either. EPA regulations have crippled this country's ability to produce goods at prices that allow us to compete with China that doesn't have to meet the same regulations/standards/laws. Couple that with union wages and it's no wonder companies are sending their mfg. overseas. Check it out -- if you dare.”
“Typical response -- attack and offer nothing. Let's just keep sending money and jobs to China where they have no quality standards nor environmental safeguards in place. Do you feed you dog treats mfg. in China? Know anyone that ended up with Chinese drywall in their homes? Should I go on? And if you think the EPA hasn't taken a toll on our economy, you are uninformed.”

“Go to Somalia, Iran, Syria, India, etc., for a realistic comparison.”
janis539 on Oct 27, 2013 at 00:53:20
“well perhaps you are right, maybe we should compare ourselves with third world countries, then we can be on the top of the heap!! or one could take off the blinders and visit countries like Denmark, Sweden, Germany and return home with some refreshing ideas.”
“My long ago, deceased Grandma always had a fear of being buried in the ground. She didn't want to be in the ground with bugs and snakes. So they bought crypts, which is where she and Grandpa are buried. As a young girl (7 or 8), my Grandma posed in a coffin for an advertisement. Now that, I find scarier than being put in the ground.”

“Fear of what happens to your body after death is completely irrational. You're dead. You don't feel a thing. You may exist in spirit form, but every major religious philosophy teaches the link to the body ends with death. With all the problems in life, there are just so many more important, and pertinent, matters to be concerned with.”
“I don't understand how that happens. Any funeral I've attended, the pall bearers carry the casket and deceased to the hearse. Then the family accompanies it to the cemetery in their own cars or a limo provided by the funeral yes. There the casket is placed on the stand that will lower it in the ground.”

“Wakes and viewings are exactly that...viewing. Funerals have a closed casket.”
Rubberfish on Oct 23, 2013 at 17:15:48
“Yes, but after the funeral is over and everybody leaves the grave isn't closed yet. It would be super easy to take the casket back out, switch to a different casket, and then close the grave. If they kept a pine box handy in the hearse or a small truck they could even do it gravesite and nobody would be the wiser.”
“How does fining them help the family? Where does that money go if they're fined? To the city, county, state govt?”
Lord Iconoclast on Oct 23, 2013 at 17:01:18
“Well, fines are usually administered by the municipality. The family should also sue. Those are grounds for a lawsuit. In the funeral business, the grieving family is the boss. As long as they are within the laws of mortuary and state law anything goes. You want your loved one to keep their piercings on during a viewing? So be it. You want to have them sitting in a chair? So be it. Of course, laws differ by state. But negligence cases like these are usually universal.”
“If a business starts refusing service to people because of conduct, etc., the business is just opening themselves up for a law suit for an array of charges such as; racism, profiling, judgment, etc. No matter what they do, people aren't happy and will find a way to make money off of it.”
“I agree. Had the mother stuck around, apologized, had her child apologize, offer to help in the future, etc., I personally would not sue. Because she she did none of those things, Mrs. Shepper should file a civil suit to reimbursed for her out of pocket costs and pain and suffering.”
“I agree. Bet the libs can't wait for the greatest generation to die off, so no one remembers the real history of this country. Pick up a history book that's being used in the schools today and you won't recognize this country. Wasn't it the Chinese or Russians that killed off their elderly so no one remembered how it used to be.”
“Why do we need VA healthcare now, Mia, when we have Obamacare? Afterall, according to Dems/libs/statists, its top notch -- isn't it? I would think that would make it better than VA. I've heard so many complaints about VA care through the years. Using a Hillary quote, "What difference does it make," that Congress, govt workers, unions, etc., are exempt, have waivers or are receiving subsidies that we don't get. They want no part of Obamacare. Based on what the dems say about Obamacare, I have to think they must be delusional to refuse the best healthcare. And it's free -- isn't it?”

“What he says and what he does are complete opposites. He's always out there campaigning against his own policies. That's why no one blames him or ties him to them. He says and does things and then blames someone else.”
“Over 70 percent of Americans believe that there is either a great deal or a fair amount of media bias in news coverage. Evidence of bias ranges from the topic choices of the New York Times to the choice of think tanks to which the media refer in their broadcasts. Guess 70% of American's are liars.”
wonderYrednow on Sep 23, 2013 at 18:36:17
“Is that the same 70% who think the Karkrashians are Great Americans?”
“I'm not cheering on AQ -- far from it. I wish Bill Clinton would have stood up to them -- maybe things wouldn't be as they are today. I'm stating what BO, his adminstration, liberals and RINO's will do to protect these terrorists and try to convince us that they are a peaceful and loving religion.”
“Really? People like me who are willing to speak the truth and who can see the obvious are the ones who should get an education? My ancestor, Nicholas Gilman signed the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution, fought in the Revolutionary War, and my family fought in all the wars thereafter. They were willing to give everything to keep people like you free. And look what you do with it. You sit behind your monitor and attack people.”
jmdski22 on Sep 25, 2013 at 14:50:27
“And people like you who sit behind there monitors and pretend to be people they are not. Nice try though.”
“You're right -- it's the state run media. In a poll 90% of journalists admitted they vote democrat. Watch the soft ball questions they ask democrats. Pay attention to the stories they don't cover when it involves democrats. I worked directly for the Publisher of a newspaper and our entire newsroom and editorial staff were liberals.”
wonderYrednow on Sep 23, 2013 at 10:37:49
Link that 'poll'.
Just because your Tee Vee says something over and over DOES NOT MAKE IT TRUE !!!!
Explain how 6 multi-national conglomerates have any interest in ANY Party that does not INCREASE their Bottom Line !?!?!
YOU LIE !
Members of the 'media' are very similar to the rest of the educated population in their political views.
40% lean to the progressive; 20% lean to the conservative AND the rest are near the center.
