“Soon, I'm afraid, something will happened. Something that changes everything. There won't be do-overs or second chances. This change will prove beyond the shadow of a doubt (finally) that progressives and liberals, lefties and hippies, and other assorted intelligent, empathetic, honest, caring, loving, and concerned, people had it right.
Yes, the world is about to sneeze, and it ain't god playing dice with the universe.....it's us playing dice with ourselves, and everything that makes life possible. Through ignorance, fear, stupidity, laziness, sloth, greed, prejudice, and more, we've brought it to this point. Once the forces of the universe kick in, we can point fingers and call it prophecy all we want, but some of us already know. We don't need to invent excuses. We can only keep trying to do the right things and hope, somehow ,we make it through.
As Mr. Weber so succinctly pointed out above, the absurdity of it all goes beyond the trappings of logic and reason , or even understanding, so why not laugh? It can't do any harm, no, on the contrary, it feels pretty good to laugh (out loud even) at these clowns. So laugh hard people, and laugh loud, real loud, point at them and go into a bent over belly aching whoopee. Do it now and be healthy my friends, for tomorrow , even that might be against the law.”

“Ahh i see, better to let the insurance companies drive up the cost and keep the profits, ah yes , you make perfect sense to me, and you know what?? If I'm lucky maybe a could get a job as a gardener or some thing at one of the insurance executives estates, and after all i should be grateful for that as well. I really think it's awful that most insurance executives could only raise their bonuses by 25 or 30% oveer last years, and it makes me feel so bad that the average bonus for an insurance exec is still between 5 and 30 million a year. I just wonder how many people could have been saved at emergency rooms if that money were used to lessen the waiting time, i wonder how many not qualified's that adds up to. millions and millions, just in bonuses , not counting regular salary, think about that ... millions, i think ill stick with mr moore, at least he's on our side”

“I wish the president would read your essay's (or blogs i mean). He, (and we) have got to stop letting the classroom bullies kick us around and threaten us with after school beatings. There is nothing to be afraid of with this sorry lot, even if they do walk around with weapons strapped to their bodies. Reality can and will prevail, despite the glassy eyes and the smug smiles. Apparently, there are no right wing intellectuals big enough to stand up to the lowest common denominators of their philosophy. It's time for the president to realize this isn't the 1980's or the 90's for that matter, and their is no delicate balance of power betweemn the 2 parties. He's got the power, his party has the power, let the right wingers scream all they want, they are in the minority. You can't talk reconciliation with a bunch of crazies. It's time for our leader to get a little angry, and put these bone-heads back where they belong, in the dark ages.”

“Here's a real simple numbers question for all anti-reformists. Remember, there is only 1 right answer, and that answer cannot be followed by waits, and buts, and only's, etc etc. etc.
How many more people will have died today without reform versus how many deaths with reform. I think you'll find each day that goes by without reform equals more unnecessary deaths. Each day, this figure adds up, now easily into the thousands. Thousands of people, dead, who shouldnt be dead......think about that , now i have one final question for you-How many senior citizens or other people have died an unnecessary death due to a government "death" panel or even due to a consultation with their doctor ? Hmm?? Whats that answer?? Ahh yes i thought i heard you correctly..ZERO!!! Thats right...ZERO folks. So tell me based on that score (thousands dead versus zero dead) you are supporting the thousands dead?? Very strange indeed...”

“The Republicans, very shortly, will be going into their classic deny everything mode, which essentially means they did nothing or said nothing. You watch, ask Sarah Palin in another week or so about the death panels and for her to comment on her comment, and she will immediately deny even saying that . When pressed with facts , Thats when she'll go into her the press is picking on me mode , and not allowing me to do the work thats important for America, end of conversation. Grassley and the others will say they never said anything about the public option, and somehow blame the media or the liberal bloggers for spreading such lies and deception. just when you thought it couldn't possibly get worse. Of course we all know who started that classic republican political manure, good old tricky dick himself.”

“It finally dawned on me where Sarah Palin got her shtick.....
Didn't she come of age in the "valley girl" era.?
When, like, you know, it was, like, so cool, you know, to not know (anything.)
Talk about college girls and their iced-teas. Back then, all you needed was a real short haircut and a Reagan bumper sticker to get any, well, you know, valley girl stuff.
Seriously, i feel pity for the people that are going through the embarrassment of living their entire lives with no concept of what reality is and/or was. There are no more Walter Cronkites to set the record straight , and that leaves the riff-raff and con-jobs an opening to swoop in and cash out(on stupidity) as we see so plainly occurring today. Bouncing around like a bowl of jello at the microphone is ok if you're making millions off of stupidity.
I'm a little nervous about the latest fad with the gun strappers, only because after one of them shoots themselves in the foot ( which will probably happened), I don't want a bullet ricocheting off and hitting some innocent bystander.”

People can and do create their own realities and it does take a lot of energy to sit around and whine about a situation. For most of us, there are always ways to improve our situation, it just depends how badly we want it. If you're stuck in a dead end job, get out, and don;t use the excuse there is nothing else, There is always a way to make a living , no matter how far down one might have to go to start over, hey , its just a brief stop back on the way up again.”

I've always felt looking at someone's personal life is a good gauge of who a person really is: do a little research on this right wing crowd, and it's quite amazing how much baggage these people carry around. Palin expresses fear about David Letterman around her daughter, when its people like Bill O'Reilly she sould be concerned about with his proven track record on sex and women in his personal life. This has always amazed me about these types of people. I don't need to stand behind a bible or anything else to know whats right and whats wrong, and I'm not afraid to stand up and admit if I've made a mistake. I'm still naive enough to believe that positive will always win over negative in the long run, and that love is so much healthier than hate. The first step is admitting you have a problem. Mr. O'Reilly, we are waiting.”

“It does appear hate runs rampant in this country, indeed, all over the world , but lets not forget one important fact . This country did, after going through the trauma of 9/11 and the Bush years, elect a black man with the name Barrack Hussein Obama. My impression of these extremist type views is most of these people seem very unhappy with themselves and their lives. Unhappy , insecure, paranoid, and apparently need someone or something to blame for their own shortcomings. Obama and socialism fit the bill nicely for these people. It allows them to shuck the responsibility for their own lives, and play the blame game. Then , you have the people that see this and use it as an opportunity to gain advantage for themselves. People that hate are really projecting how they feel about themselves. Instead of looking inward, and trying to change, they look outward and find a scapegoat. It requires much less mental energy.

“I don't know, everywhere i've turned the last batch of years , its been Republicans caught in men's restrooms, Republicans caught having affairs with young members of their staff, Republicans disregarding and breaking laws at will and then telling the rest of us we can't do it. Republicans caught tampering with and intimidating voters on election days, Republicans telling us all about the weapons of mass destruction. If there were an actual count made of these "ugly characterisitcs" dating back to Nixon and Spiro Agnew, i think it's plainly obvious who is way ahead of the rest of us. This clear and huge difference does make it worth discussing, and quite frankly makes your whole point meaningless. It is the consistent pattern of violating the very things they try to moralize to us about is what makes them contemptible , even despicable hypocrites sometimes.”

1.) It's all about the shareholders , and always will be. They get their a**es kissed so much there needs to be a special polish to sell to them , polish em up and make em look real shiny, hey the next big luxury "must have" item.
2.) Can i go to one of the great schools that spits out this business brilliance at astonishing rates every year. Hey, you've got to trace these things back to their sources ya know.
Sigh, it would be nice if people got brave all at once and got the scissors out. It would be a case where I for one would cheer the job losses resulting from such a move.”

“Well said. Adherence to rigidity and the mind numbing repetitiveness of dogma creates a self hypnosis or "mini" nirvana in some people. It placates them. They don't have to worry, or think too much about thinking. This is one obvious reason there hasn't been an original thinker on the right since William Buckley Jr. It's much easier to regurgitate the mantra of "stars" like Palin or Limbaugh, which is unfortunate for the masses because there is absolutely no intellectual credibility, just more rehashed versions of older right wing ideas. Its amazing and so much better to be alive and aware, and i thank my inner self for keeping an open and curious mind about life, love the world, the universe politics etc etc.I don't say i know the truth, but i can say I'm doing my best to try and find it.”

“The "tenets" of the Neo-Con ideology are based not on good governance but on sloganeering, salesmanship. The Karl Roves (et al) of the Neo-Con Right took the conservative ideas of Goldwater and Buckley, boiled them down into rock candy and vended them at a penny apiece to the American electorate. They even got a former TV pitch man to hawk them nationally -- Ronald Reagan. Those candies tasted sweet enough that people loved them, allowing themselves to be hoodwinked that the rock candies were nutritious and would make America strong 12 ways. Well, turns out the Neo-Con candy gave the country tooth decay and diabetes. America has been brought into the ER, where they had to amputate a foot, and now they're just trying to clear up the gangrene and save the patient. It's long past time to eschew the Neo-Con sugar snacks in favor of some things that will actually grow strong bodies.”
